Speaking here as a fan of the rugby club I'm thrilled they are part of the Bristol Sport banner and play in a rejuvenated stadium that the city can be proud of. However the whole memorial stadium saga I still find appalling to this day. You'll never convince me you acted with integrity. It was shameful. That wasn't shameful I will tell you what was shameful, in 1982 a certain football club threatened several of its players telling them that if they didn't tear up their contracts and accept half of what they were due they would get nothing and as at the time they were being intimidated by their inbred fans they didn't have much choice. They eventually went into administration and ignored their debts meaning the milkman stationary suppliers catering companies etc were not paid. How can you compare that with us taking advantage of a legally binding contract.

What do I get for emailing the club about him when he was at North Leigh? A sausage sandwich.

Guys.. I know a draw from home is usually a good result but the manor we are conceding goals recently is embarrassing. When we go behind or go level we just don't have the team morale like we did last season and I know we're a league above but I'm sorry that's not an acceptable excuse. We're in league two for a reason and we MUST compete! We had 20 seconds to go and they equalised. I'm sorry it's not acceptable and I'd say Nicholls needs to leave ASAP. The implied criticism of Nicholls in your post is strange. Had you made the comment after Chesham or Newport, whilst I would disagree over your opinion of Nicholls as a keeper, I would have understood it. But to make it after Saturday when he had a very good game at Exeter, making some excellent saves, is a tad strange. He certainly divides opinion and ultimately he's going back to Wigan so will be forgotten in a few weeks time. I just hope managers from teams we may hope to loan keepers from don't decide against loaning them to us because young players go back with their confidence shot from fan criticism. UTG!! The very fact that he divides opinion is a bad sign the one position on the pitch where you must be reasonably consistent is goalkeeper and having a blinder one week and throwing two in your net the next week is a recipe for disaster. We must get a new keeper in as a major priority.

I don't consider myself a rose tinter, but I thought that Rovers were unlucky,if we had won I don't think that Exeter could complain as we outplayed them for long periods. Rovers do seem to play well on occasions without winning, maybe Gaffney will be the answer and we can turn good performances into wins.. I do feel that Rovers are only a couple of players short of being an automatic promotion team. Most teams in the league are only a couple of players short of being a promotion team

I am not a bit surprised at our plight, you wont ever progress as a team if you haven't got a keeper or a striker its glaringly obvious what needs to be done. If we haven't got the funds to address this then be prepared for a lot more results like last night.

The thing that angers me the most is when some cretin comes out and says we will learn from that defeat, what will we learn how to get humiliated by a non league club. Until we bring in proper frontmen results like this will always be on the cards.

Paul Randall,Archie Stephens,Graham Withey..did we pay anything for any of them ? £2,000 for Randall from Glastonbury, £40,000 for Stephens from Melksham and I am not sure about Withey but as he only ever scored 10 goals for the Rovers he was hardly prolific.

Is that if we do not sign a decent proven striker we are not going anywhere, and by that I mean one that we have to pay for and not one we get on a free or a loan signing.I cannot think of one striker that we have ever had at this club that has scored a decent amount of goals that we have got for nothing (unless homegrown). If as I suspect the funds are not available then resign yourself to a mid table finish this season.I have looked very closely at the strikers we have at this club at the moment and none of them are anything like good enough to take us to the next level.

Neither Blisset or Taylor are good enough to get us where we want to be, I am hoping that Easter can fulfill his potential.

Jesus, if we get BIG backing....I doubt Higgs and co would sell to asset strippers...they could have got out before....12 months ago we faced oblivion. We COULD end up getting more backing than BCFC, a new ground...the possibilities are actually raising a semi lob. Semi lob, ive got a full blown erection.

GD'S book will be the biggest work of fiction since Harry Potter, to me he bears huge responsibility as to where we are now by consistently selling our best players for millions and trying to replace them by spending peanuts. So you just ignore all the good him and his family did for the club. Very generous of you. If by his family you mean his father then I agree with you. But I can think of very little he personally did for the club apart from appointing a succession of bad managers and selling players which might have given our club the slightest chance of progressing.

Unless we get the UWE we will forever be living in the shadow of the Retards south of the river.

Was and always will be a Gas legend> Trust the five year cycle of wanting him back as manager is now over. The future is DC - as long as we can hang onto him! Interesting the "love" for Holloway. Some one here still don't think DC is up to the job and he was responsible for taking us down. We forget Holloway put us in a lot of debt with nothing to show for it. He is in the past and that is where he should stay, in our past Im'e not sure you can say Holloway put us in a lot of debt when he brought in to the club Hayles,Roberts, and Ellington all of which were eventually sold for in excess of £4 million.I am very happy for Darrell to keep up the good work but I don't think we should criticise Holloway for any thing he did when he was last here.
