That's the answer then get the club £135m in debt go into administration as Portsmouth did in 2010 and then you will be able to afford to give players better contracts than clubs who have always paid their way.

As ive said before on here give the player a chance, i remember a certain mr t.henry coming to the arsenal as a winger who nobody had heard of, and well you know the rest. If he bangs in ten this season i will be very happy. UTG I cant believe you are comparing the Thierry Henry transfer to Arsenal with our situation to start with Arsenal paid £11m for him from Juventus when several other top European clubs were tracking him, and so I don't know where this (nobody had heard of him came from). Our position is we have acquired a player who obviously nobody else wants who apparently has an attitude problem. I also think you have to question his motives or his sanity to want to come to Bristol Rovers at this moment in time.

No it's the last chance to make permanent signings until January. Perhaps it would've been better had your 7 year old nephew done the explaining. Where is the money going to come from for these permanent signings? Any transfer business will be a loan or free agent. Shame some adults still can't work that out. Well for starters how about the money we got from the sell on clause for Lambert, and before anyone says that's been eaten up by other costs what would have happened then if he hadent gone to Liverpool those costs would have still been met.

Alright granted there are a couple of clubs who have been unfortunate but the vast majority of the clubs who have gone into admin are in a much healthier position than us,for example Charlton,Middlesborough,Tranmere ,Walsall Northampton,Aldershot, Hartlepool, Barnet, Exeter,Gillingham, Doncaster,Millwall, Bournemouth,Crystal Palace, Portsmouth,Hull City,Rotherham, Luton,Leeds, Cambridge,Wimbledon,Derby, QPR, Leicester,Barnsley, Notts County,Southampton, Coventry, and Port Vale.I wont even bother with the 82ers.

Imagine knowing where all the Nigel Martin money went and Gary pen rice money went that's One and a half million and that was back in 1989 where's that money gone and all the rest of it questoins like this we would no the answers to and not kept in the dark as allways Never mind the Penrice and Martin money where has the Gareth Taylor, Marcus Stewart, Barry Hayles, Jason Roberts, Nathan Ellington, Rickie Lambert all sold for £1 mill+ and some of them with sell on clauses where has that money gone if you include lucrative cup runs and the fact we have always had above average attendances for the leagues we have been in I doubt if there is a single club in the lower divisions who have had as much income as us coming in and look where we have finished up. There are lots of questions that remain unanswered.

I think the sooner we accept this UWE project is over and concentrate our efforts in supporting the boys get out of this league the better, as long as there'll be a BRFC to support that's all we can do, the other off the pitch things we can't influence, we've had some great highs (planning granted, artist impressions, Trash being beaten) and some terrible lows (Carstairs, EH, Trash, Memorial Gates, yesterday), it's out of our hands now, let's concentrate on Halifax...... Without the new stadium I am very confident BRFC would disappear into oblivion,in my opinion our very existence hinges on getting proper facilities in a proper ground otherwise our fan base will slowly drift away.

Not again when are we going to actually bring in a striker who can score goals, when you continually delve into the loan market you are bringing in players that their clubs don't want.We have got quite a good record of bringing in strikers we have actually paid for but on the other side of the coin I cant think of many strikers we have loaned or acquired on free transfers who have been very successful. There does come a time at every football club when a little bit of speculative investment is needed and that time is now for us.

Perm one from three Gary Johnson, Neil Warnock or Ian Holloway any one of these would sort us out.

If GD is to be believed, this will change nothing for the better as he has had little involvement in the last few years except helping financially. All it means is we will have less money than before. If things do start to change, then his parting statement will have proved to have been a load of rubbish, lets hope he was lying. I wish GD all the best and thank him for investing in our club over the years. I think if we lose his financial help we wont notice any difference.

The bottom line is DC has somehow managed to assemble a bigger load of crap than we had last year (you would have thought it hardly possible). That is the harsh reality and there is no mystery as to why we are performing so appallingly badly.

I cant believe that so many fans think this one signing is going to make that much difference,we have a very average squad and for one player to have that much influence he would have to be exceptional and I cant believe this man is. But I hope im'e pleasantly surprised.

James Mcnamara @jpmcnamara7 4m Think the striker DC missed out on was Christian Doidge of Welsh side Carmarthern Town. So we can't even tempt players away from the Welsh premier league (avg. gates 326). That is a worrying sign. Theres lovely.

I am getting more and more agitated by the developments within our club, season after season we make the same mistakes and never seem to learn from them, unless we go up this year (which seems a remote possibility) I think the fans will start to drift away our rivals south of the river will pick up all the floating fans and any new fans moving into the area and within a couple of years there is a real possibility we could go to the wall. I lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of our board and I honestly don't think they have a clue what is happening.( I don't have a solution I am just venting my spleen.)

When was the last time we actually bought a player,we always seem to be after free transfers and loans, you are very lucky if you get a decent player with that strategy.Apparently we have several millionaires on our board and while I don't expect them to throw money at the club a little bit of sensible investment is what is needed otherwise it wouldn't make any difference if they were all skint.

As I have said before there is no reason for optimism absolutely nothing has changed from the shambles of last season except that last year we had a small amount of quality in our squad this year from what I have seen we have none. Unless we get real change starting from the top and a totally different mindset I fear we will continue our downward spiral.
