anyone no are average away support so far this season? The mean Rovers away support in Conference games so far is exactly 800. (Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games is 2428. So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 32.9% of the crowd.

I run the conference away support thread on One Football Forum. Bristol Rovers' average away support so far this season is 863. Interesting. Could you post a link to One Football Forum, please? I'd like to see how my numbers (see below) are differing from yours. 2014-15 Visitor Attendance Away Gas Percentage Gas Barnet 2027 663 32.7% Altrincham 1463 376 25.7% Forest Green 3781 1886 49.9% Braintree 1621 565 34.9% Lincoln 2933 211 7.2% Southport 1202 367 30.5% Eastleigh 2621 996 38.0% Aldershot 3466 1255 36.2% Telford 2860 895 31.3% Alfreton 880 315 35.8% Chester 2936 479 16.3% Wrexham 2608 193 7.4% Welling 1176 651 55.4% Torquay 3755 1145 30.5% Nuneaton 1661 926 55.7% Woking 3853 1869 48.5% TOTAL 38843 12792 32.9% AVERAGE GAS (800)

The problem with the stats is that there is no way of counting how many Gasheads are in the hospitality areas, or home ends, all of whom get counted as home fans. I was in the hospitality area of Nuneaton and there were at least 25 Gasheads (added to the home fans count), not to mention the additional 50 odd who were in the main home stand drowning out the handful of Nuneaton season ticket holders. Again these were classed as home fans.
Same logic applied to Woking on Saturday. There were at least half a dozen Gasheads in the hospitality area, counted in the final stats as home fans.

That's why I always put the rider "based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds".

You dont have the away figures for Wrexham which is 193. So the average is 802.6. Other than that, great work.

Yes, the only other difference is that Rovers reported 926 Gas at Nuneaton, whereas the OneFootballForum table shows 976.
So I think we are in agreement that the average over the 16 away games is 800.

Yes, with the corrected figures the average is 800, thanks for that it's corrected my figures.

The average Rovers away support in Conference games so far is 763. (Excludes Cup games and is based on published away support, so excludes Gas who went into non-segregated areas of grounds). The mean attendance at Rovers away Conference games is 2,441. So, on average, Rovers fans have formed 31.3% of the crowd. An away following of, say, 2,500 at Kidderminster and 2,200 at Dover would give an average for the season of over 900. The table below shows the average Rovers away support in the last five seasons in the League. Season | BRFC Away Fans | 2009-10 | 694 | 2010-11 | 615 | 2011-12 | 608 | 2012-13 | 511 | 2013-14 | 679 |

our averages home and away are very consistent considering we've been up and down a bit. Just a shame our averages don't even increase that much in league one. Think it would next time we get there though
