I just love Bristol's best comedian - Steve Cotterell. You don't need X Factor, or Ant and Dec on a Saturday night, just listen to Cottrell's after match interviews for the biggest laugh of the weekend.
Last night was pure genious, after ANOTHER defeat he blamed everyone, from cheating opposition defenders, poor refereeing, blind linesmen, the state of HIS pitch, Postman Pat, his best friend's cat, Buzz Lightyear and just about everyone else within 20 miles of BS3.
I listened in to his own supporters on Geoff 20man's radio show, and most were in agreement with the ref, that Baker deserved to be sent off after several bad fouls, but according to Cotterell, they were all legitimate.
Come on next Saturday for more hilarity, the tears are still running down my legs

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill: "The one awarded to Blackburn at the end was never a penalty in a million years. Their player has taken an extra stride before going down and Aden Flint never touched him. "That is four penalties awarded against us, without us getting one, and none of them have been fouls. "The sending-off is our fault and I am not defending Nathan Baker over it. We just want the rub of the green occasionally with decisions."

Interesting, to hear the difference on Geoff 20mans show between rugby managers and Cotterell's comments after their respective defeats, the rugby manager was dignified in defeat, praised the opposition, was honest and respectful, Cotterell sounded like a sore loser and blamed everyone except himself, sounded like the worst type of dodgey second hand car salesman on the Feeder.

Obviously we don't want them winning too many, but if they were cast adrift at the bottom then Wurzel would get sacked and Lansdown would buy a load of players in January, so them just on the edge of safety but not ''getting the rub of the green'' is exactly the best place for them.
Nice one Gummidge.

Brislington are managed by Jeff Meacham who scored the equaliser for Rovers at VS Rugby- spooky or what

I,m not saying I like rugby you duckhead, (actually I don't,t), I,m just saying the difference between rugby managers (dignified in defeat) as opposed to Cotterell, being a bad loser is evident in every interview

Just for a little perspective (and to put us all straight at the same time, as they seem to love to do), I'd like to hear from our old friend kaiserbcfc, because we don't seem to have heard much from him at all just lately. It would be good to get a catch-up from him (or some of his other playmates who cross-over from time to time), just to get the low down on what's actually happening at Trashton Gate. I'm very concerned about it all, as you may be able to tell. Are they actually in meltdown, or just approaching it?

I love the way he makes it so uncomfortable for the poor Radio Bristol interviewer - even when he gets asked a nice easy question foolly old Steve gets his ass in his hands and gets all irritable.
I think he once replayed to a question saying " well you obviously know more about this than me" - he is probably right. Clown.

The pussycat Radio Bristol interviewers are almost scared to ask him a question for fear of a foolly response. Hoskin is an absolute joke BTW and I think that SC has a contempt for the standard of local journalist with their lack of football nous. SC thinks he is a clever football man, but it's a case of "Wurzel Mourinho" in the way he comes across.
In defence, the 2014-15 season was probably one of their best. He signed very good players with a good L1 budget. He will also keep them up in the Bottom 8 League of the Championship. This man can manage and City only have to remember Sean O'Driscoll.

I suppose when we have a game next week we'll have something Rovers-related to talk about.
