I really do wonder what our club are up to when a brilliant opportunity comes around to sell a new kit and what have we got.... NOTHING. Barry Bradshaw and your so called Committee hang your heads in shame. Isn't it about time you came up to the standard of your Supporters? Even Grimsby have managed to get their New Kit out early. Even if we go up there will NEVER be a better opportunity to sell Blue and White quartered shirts. I understand that we will be playing in the Quarters at Wembley and I see that all that will be produced are a small supply of YELLOW shirts which have been worn this season. Why Oh Why do you expect Supporters to purchase a bloody Yellow shirt when our colours are BLUE AND WHITE QUARTERS? ? There will be in excess of 20,000 lost or possible "Supporters" turning out and Wembley and yet again our Marketing has fell miserabley short.

Brillant post Steve, why don't you email it to our marketing dept? I'd guess we'd sell more than 500 shirts so that's worth alot more than the £20,000 lost you suggest?

The problem we have Steve is that our shirts (the famous quarters) is not a "run of the mill" design like the Grimsby design. forget about the logo etc they are put on afterwards. I would like to bet the Grimsby's shirt was from stock and ours have to be made specially for us, hence the longer timescales.
Now our "yellow" shirt is a standard design and is able to be produced and printed with a simple "Wembley 2015" logo quickly...

No time to sort this out - ok when did they first talk to the kit manufacturer ?
Surely it would not have hurt to have contingency plans in place once we knew we would be in the playoffs at least

As a club we need to become more ambitious from a number of angles and hopefully if we regain our league status this will be addressed.Conference is a poor league from many viewpoints and we need to be above the accepted norm.Steve is right to lament this lost opportunity.

Not sure it's fair to blame committee members, Barry is the man with retail experience and he's chaired the meetings.
Have the SC been selling coach tickets to non-SC members without obtaining personal details and adding them to the database?
Who came up with £30 for coach travel for non-SC members rather than a price which includes SC membership for next season, or at least saying that the price includes membership for the 1 remaining game of this season, so we need your name, address, Tel No and email address to add you to the database?
You could go on and on, will BRFC and the SC ever learn?

I think Steve was saying potentially 20.000 people, not £20,000, you would like to think that we could yield more than £1 per person? And it's not as if we have sneaked into the play offs on the last day, they have had plenty of time to think about this stuff.

Surely it would not have hurt to have contingency plans in place once we knew we would be in the playoffs at least Sadly our Board have proved that they are unable to think creatively or do any contingency planning for different scenarios that may face them and the club. As I have said before and elsewhere - how any of them are successful businessmen is beyond me.

To be fair it was only last Sunday that we were guaranteed Wembley. So would you have order 10,000 shirts on the "we might" get there? Also this week is a Bank Holiday so really they have had 2 days to sort it out. Manufacturers don't have their own factories. When the want to make whatever it is, they have to have a sample made first, then you book a place at the factory, usually a 4 to 6 week wait. I know this as my girlie works for Samsung Textiles who supply shops here with about 25% of all jackets , mainly women's but some men's too. Debenhams, Maine, ect

Could be contractual between the old and new sponsors perhaps? Cant see the existing sponsors being happy with not wearing their name in the biggest game of the season?

We can't get the new one out in until the Sportsman logo has been designed onto it.

Next season's shirt is LUSH by the way so it will still sell well in the summer - but we could've topped the 2007-08 sales had it been released this week.

Sounds interesting - when do you think we might see it? Will be revealed for the Fun day so we probably won't see it until July. But yeah, it's a good one.
