Hi all, Does anyone know the address of where court proceedings are taking place? I know nothing about the High Court and it seems it has three different divisions to it? High Court website
Thank you in advance, Antony

I wouldn't want to assume..

Yup, 2-0. The game plan was clearly to remain tight at the back and capitalise on their errors as Dave Mathias QC kept the pressure on for the whole 90 minutes and exploited weaknesses in the opposition defence.

From the Rovers Twitter feed link ~ PUBLISHED 13:00 15th May 2015 A High Court judge has heard opening arguments in a week-long legal battle over the future of Bristol's Memorial Stadium site. The hearing is to settle an ongoing dispute between Bristol Rovers and Sainsbury’s over a land deal involving the club's current home in Horfield. Mrs. Justice Proudman, sitting in London, was told the football club agreed a deal with the supermarket chain in 2011, as part of its plans to move to a new ground on the Frenchay campus of the University of the West of England (UWE). The terms of the deal were that Sainsbury's would buy the Memorial Stadium for £30 million and lease it back to the club for a peppercorn rent until its move to the new ground was completed - at which time a new supermarket would be built on the site. The club would use the money towards financing the building of the new 21,700-seat stadium. At the time the deal was made, the court heard, there was no planning permission or infrastructure in place, the costs were uncertain and Bristol Rovers were still negotiating with UWE. Lawyers for both sides today outlined their cases to the judge, as a six-day hearing got underway. Mark Wonnacott QC, for Sainsbury's, said the supermarket giants believes it 'lawfully terminated' the contract when various conditions were not met. But the club's barrister, David Matthias QC, argued the contract is either still running, or has been terminated in breach of its terms. The hearing continues. Not quite yet, but interesting that Sainsbury's have cited 'various' conditions
I wonder how many 'various' equates to?

Well I guess by the end of next week it will be either: a) Two wins for us b) Two defeats for us c) One win and a draw (depending on what m'lud comes up with on the merits of the claim) d) One win and one loss (either way you want to call it) e) One loss and a draw (once again what m'lud comes up with on the merits of the claim) Only a) will do so going to be a bit of a Indiana Jones roller coaster ride. Now - where did I put my whip.....?

Summary: Sainsburys say BCC didn't grant full enough planning permission. Sainsbury's told us to sort it, we left it to the last minute "scrabbling around" and missed the cut off date, allowing them to walk away.
We say Sainsburys were obliged to help change the planning conditions but didn't, and that the cut off date did not allow them to walk away.
I say we appear to acknowledge the existence of a cut off date and I suddenly feel a whole lot less confident.
Source: Points West lunchtime bulletin, I apologise for any errors!

Also argue that sainsburys didn't act in good faith. Think this bit is key as they will argue that sainsburys did nothing to help with planning permission with an appeal going in for deliveries on the last possible day due to the injunction.

And this is only day one of (potentially) six don't forget. What with all of this and Sunday to come, I don't know what kind of state I shall be in come the end of it all. Either very up, or very down I suspect. There's no middle ground where BRFC is concerned.

If Sainsburys didn't have to do something and the onus was on Rovers..
edit
obviously this is down to interpretations which is what is going to be argued in detail over the coming days

Somebody else did suggest prevously the BoD (or our legal advisors?) got completely side tracked dealing with the JR they overlooked the onerous conditions, however, Sainsbury's surely didn't help themselves by refusing to assist with the delivery hours pp?
