remind me just how long has this 'long term vision' been in place after the 100 of millions of pounds that has been wasted / mismanaged?

Oh I assumed I was on topic. Given it was about play offs and we occupy a play spot in our league whereas you dont. While we beat clubs like Leeds, Forest and Fulham. You play tinpot little clubs like Northampton Town... Nonetheless I'll leave you to it. No doubt talking about how it's only the stadium preventing you selling 45,000 season tickets etc and how you're support is better than ours (despite the fact we have both bigger home and away support on average). Until next time. Lets be sensible K - you have fans who are imo an utter disgrace on occasions sadly so do we (as every club has) Football unlike other sports has always been 'tribal' and some (fortunately only a relative few) seen no problem in crossing over the line from being passionate to violent So I think any discussion about 'who has the worst fans' is pretty pointless and my hope is that 'that element' will be eradicated from football end of As for support and numbers you have held bragging rights for too many years purely because of league position and so any casual or 'floating' fan is more likely to go and see the 'dark side'! You can only compare the level of support if and when we are both in the same division with sufficient capacity of ground Having said that do you REALLY believe that your club would see sell out attendances to watch Conference football as we did?

Same, I rate him. He is excellent in the air for his size, and actually wins more than his fair share against big centre halves. As for free header, he was up high and early the defender could do nothing, it was top quality striking. He can be a bit wasteful, but remember Jason Roberts, he was even more so, and even Taylor has been not so long ago. He would be one of my 4 strikers to chose from, without question. I must be watching different games

As always it is all about individual opinions but I am afraid that given the amount of time he has had at the club I am not sure why he keeps falling down on the basics:
Close control on the ground
Lack of intelligence in the air with some of his headers
A sub standard football 'brain'
Ok he scored what was really a free header on Saturday but much of his play particularly in the first half was very poor imo re: hold ups / lay offs / control and vision

I have made a decision NOT to attend ANY matches for either cup competitions - both are rigged to a greater or lesser degree - no interest
Anyone who attends games against 'normal' are still adding credibility to the competition imo - I prefer to stay away from the 'Animal Farm' cups!!

IMO the best way to show the EFL what utter clowns they are is by NOT attending completely
Showing up and 'protesting' will o nothing other than increase the gate numbers (unless of course outside of the ground)
The people who run OUR game (for without fans support the game would die) only understand money so hit them in the pocket with low revenue and attendances and let them explain to the press why most of us DO NOT want this competition in this format
I remember back to us and Donny at the Millennium - a good and deserved final for 'proper' lower league fans to enjoy Whats more a much better stadium and atmosphere imo

I hope that it is a complete failure
I wont be there and was not for the Chelsea game - both cups changed to ensure that only the 'best' teams are on TV in the final - all about money nothing to do with improving home player international chances
IF that was the wish then the Premier League and all the associations should limit overseas players end of
Saturday's drenching and dreadful facilities underlines again how all the money stays at the top level nothing for grass root supporters

Such is my disgust with the changed format and the FA Premier League and EFL I really would be 'happy' to lose and get back to normality of the league
Mind you that will soon change with the advent of Premier B teams in the football league in the shorter term

The EFL is doing really well imo on behalf of the Premier League .....
...the latter will soon have their own Premier League Cup ...we will have division made up of second string Premier League sides ...the FA Cup will all but disappear - far too many premier clubs consider this to be of nuisance hence weakened sides entered ...this whole farce has nothing to do with trying to improve the strength of the England side or if this is the belief then they have as much idea of running football as the F A does!

To me he was always the player I was most concerned about our ability to retain
Not just because of his goals and assists but his workrate, his vision on and off the ball and the link play to bring others into the game
Would be the first player on the team sheet for me

I will NOT be attending any games other than against 'normal' league sides
The EFL claim that it is a way to improve prospects of the England team - how would prem league academy players improve their game playing against less technically gifted lower league players? I can see this developing into a Premier League cup particularly as the FA Cup has been horribly devalued by the same premier league opting not to play full strength teams
I said at the time of the creation of the Premier League it would be the worst thing to happen to football and lessen the chances of British players

What I would not support is a mechanism to bring in Premiership 'A' teams via the back door - that should be resisted at all costs. I wonder if that is what the expansion of the Football League Trophy is actually about.... And that is exactly what it will be about Growing income from overseas will form a big part of the strategy and the appeal of overseas 'fans' being able to watch 'their' premier league team albeit second string As with the additional change of rules put forward after 18 months and producing nothing of real relevance both the football league and the rules association have no idea what the average fan would like to see imo

Read that - what a load of crap Tinkering around the edges of non important stuff without dealing with the most annoying problems in football like: Simplifying offside rule Lack of respect for officials 'professional' fouls Persistent time wasting Nothing to improve / help referees - may be one in each half? Refs having to now judge what is 'accidental' in an acute area of the pitch - cue more drama lessons for players 18 months to compile that absolute joke!

There is no need for this suggestion,so is there an alternative motive other than pretending to stop fixture congestion and pretending save clubs money? I am worried this could be devalueing of the lower divisions, so there will be less protest against the top clubs reserve teams playing in the say bottom two divisions. Are the Premier pulling a few strings here? I am completely against this plan and if the day comes when the fixture list shows eg Cheltenham Town v Arsenal Reserves,i will walk away from supporting the professional game. I don't trust these people who run our game. Completely agree with the above The FL claim they want to reduce fixture congestion but want to bring in additional games for JPT? They want to make the England team stronger? Then get the P L to reduce number of overseas players in our top clubs! The FA and FL have done absolutely NOTHING to reverse the playing participation at grass roots level This is a ploy all about marketing and money without the FL understanding what most fans want to improve our game ..... better officiating / bringing respect to the game / stepping on professional fouls / gamesmanship and the financial ability to attend games to support their clubs They are pricing us out! I would put supporting Rovers above England anytime and like the above poster have no interest in our team to be canon fodder to improve the strength of PL clubs I will NOT attend any games against teams that are PL reserves
