My mate went and said it was terrible and that he is worried. If he is worried then there is a problem. Just sayin' BRFC XI. Is your mate actually a supporter? Surely he would have known that 75% of the players aren't 1st team starters. Quite right, these lads playing today are going to be squad members not first X1 (except maybe Trotman) and its good DC gets to see what they are like so he knows what back up he has. As you can see by the thread on players we have let go that there are lots and lots still without clubs and there will be a mad scramble by those unattached to clubs to find employment. There are still good players available and hopefully we will get one or two.

We can not do any worse then last year, even if we played the youth team every week, we would only be relegated.

Revenue streams for the stadium are going to come from the conference and meeting rooms along with hospitality bars and restaurants, that's why UWE are so keen, they don't have these facilities at the moment and will be using them every day. It has been said football will not provide the main income.

There were links during the Eastville days as I believe the procession used to start at the stadium. I remember that on the day of the fateful Mansfield game there was music and food from St Pauls Carnival organisers, hopefully we carry on this link. From what I could tell on our relegation day,the majority of Jamaica/black people there were the approximate ten security types protecting Geoff Dunford,John Ward and Nick Higgs as they left Box 1 to get into their cars. Occasionally I see maybe over 5 black people on the East Terrace of the Mem,but usually it is less than 5,often enough one who happens to be a good bloke (gave me a massive bear hug on Rovers equaliser at Ashton Gate ). I think 1)Rovers have not made enough effective efforts to engage new support in eg Easton and St Pauls and 2) the ethnic people of these areas think like thousands of other Bristol people Rovers are rubbish,maybe nervous of attending Mem games,they don't care about Bristols football teams feeling no connection with them or the clubs histories and watching Man U,Chelsea etc on the box is safe,exciting,cheaper,loads of immagrants in all the top division teams to relate to,it makes em feel like winners etc. I suppose most ethnic people arelike thousands of other Bristol people and are armchair fans or actually play the game instead of watching at the Mem or Ashton. That's it Bas, the club hasn't engaged with local people, if they want to half fill the UWE they had better start. Rovers even C*ty traditional support mainly originates from the local area, to attract future support we need to get young locals in and get them hooked, just as we were.

About 100,000 others were there as well, be nice if the club got involved in the local community events, even if they just had a few flags hanging about, let people know we are here.

Salisbury City: Football Conference expel struggling club Salisbury City have been expelled from the Football Conference after failing to pay outstanding debts.
The Whites had already been demoted one division to Conference South after failing to meet a payment deadline.
The club were then given until Friday to repay all football creditors and a £50,000 bond but failed to do so.
It is the second time they have been relegated for financial reasons and are the second club to drop out the league this summer, following Hereford.
Wish the football league acted so strongly against cheats !!!!!!!

We've had loads of players that went on after and played for England etc,and some before us. You have to judge them on their time with us,and to me that is PAUL,PAUL,PAUL RANDALL!!!!!!. Have to agree, Paul,Paul, Paul Randall

A Exeter friend of mine has begged me to make a case to bring back Danny Coles, he said look at their forum to see why, here are a few extracts;
He just doesn't help himself. It's patently obvious he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him as long as he's picking up his cheque at the end of every week.
What a horrible man. Not a proper chap. Utter buffoon off the pitch, utter buffoon on it. The sooner we are rid of this liability the better. Those of you reading this who are club officials, have a word for goodness sake, the idiot is an embarrassment to everyone connected with Exeter City.
The '**** off you ****' was to a 14 year old Exeter fan. Surely the club should be looking at sacking him for gross misconduct for this? Centre back is a position we have an excess of players anyway. Get rid of him.
The guy is clearly a grade A bellllenddd.
What a ******. I would have thought it is almost certainly a sackable offence. Get a screen grab and send it to the Echo. Makes me ashamed to think he wears the red and white never mind has the captains armband. Be more forgivable if he was actually any good. Knock up a poll Hants on whether he should be sacked - might find something most of us agree on.

They also have money if its comp we are after; A total of £470k had been pledged by 177 fans prior to the meeting. This total has now gone past £500k after more pledges made last night.

We need to keep nagging the club until we get clear and transparent statement's from them about what is going on. Unfortunately I will be away this week and unable to attend any of the meetings, but I have taken the clubs advice on using twitter instead of internet forums to discuss club topics. The latest tweets to the club and BSS about the Mem status, Sainsbury's and changes at board level have been met with silence so far. I wish everyone attending meetings this week all the best and I look forward to joining BRISA when I return in a few weeks.
