I think Leadbitter was signed to play in a 3-5-2 system but the back 3 are not good enough as yet. I don't think we will see it until Turley is fit.

General assumption being Sainsbury want out, The one loop hole appears to be delivery hours, Higgs forces Sainsbury to appeal the hours restriction, Result, massive pressure on Planning official's at BCC, they say no and its all there fault. His Lordship with the red trousers was at Saturdays game.
OR
The positive spin could be Sainsbury's said "er Higgs's how can we get longer delivery times" and he said "don't worry lads I have a cunning plan"

by the way I am surprised by oxford played 4 lost 4 New investor taking them places. They did have a good league cup victory against a massive team !!!! As for Wycombe and the out come of Rovers complaint, cannot believe it has taken the FA this long and we have heard nothing, Phil Smith, the agent that grassed them up, has had his ban reduced and is now mixed up in the Malky Mackay thing, the longer it goes on the more intriguing it gets. If there was no case to answer surely we would have heard ages ago or are they as guilty as hell, the FA screwed up and our now covering up.

If I caught what Nick Higgs said,GD will not be selling his shares,so I assume he'll still be involved in some decision making. Which makes his standing down all a little bit pointless really in many respects. He's still there, he still has a say. How can he have a say ? as he is no longer a director he will not be allowed to attend board meetings, the only meeting he can attend is the club Agm, along with the rest of the shareholders. As all decisions are taken at board level he will have no input.

How will this affect the attitudes towards ex directors and olive branches etc. Does anyone think that those who lost out in 2006/7 will reappear.

Maybe DC has plans to move Lockyear back to midfield. Clarke and Mansel have missed a lot of pre season.

Will we see much difference between the standard of Football witnessed last season in league 2 (4th tier) and this season in the conference(5th tier)? I know the conference is classed as non league but there are a lot of our old rivals in here with us, as well as some smaller teams. The gap between league and non league is getting smaller all the time, who would have thought to ever see the Crawley's and Stevenage's of this world as league clubs. I don't think we will see much difference, maybe smaller away support at the Mem and smaller grounds to visit, but football wise it will be very similar.

Do we need wingers if we are playing with wing backs in a 3-5-2 system, will look like we have a bus queue on the each touch line and no one in the middle.

Four players were sent off in the opening 29 minutes of Coventry City's pre-season friendly with AEL Kalloni. City had Danny Pugh and Billy Daniels sent off, while Paul Keite and Manuel Dalgado were dismissed for the Greek side in Thursday's 0-0 draw in Italy. Following Pugh and Keite's early red cards, the referee allowed both sides to replace the players.

I can't be the only person who is still waiting for a convincing reason to come back and support Rovers? It's part of my life but so little change has happened during this pre season that I just can't heal from the heartbreak of last season. From where i'm sitting all we've done is sign a couple of nobody's and some old men who were never really that special. Lets be honest here Lee Mansell and Andy Monkhouse are hardly two former starlets who have played at the highest levels, Mansell has played at a lower level than Rovers for most of the time! I don't mean to belittle these players before the season has started but I'm sorry I cant be the only one completely frustrated by the lack of quality signings, UWE news, Board changes, Scouting network, Ticket prices lowering etc. I honestly can't understand how so many of you can go on supporting such a miserable, vile, god awful football club as Rovers. Nobody cares about the fans, yet the mugs still plough their money into the club, hoping for a winning team. Last season has opened my eyes. All I really want is an apology from our board and to accept that real changes need to happen. Why is that so difficult for them to do? Fair play to everyone for still being able to stomach it, but I cant help but feel its a lost cause. Pray for change. Rovers is our club,. 'We are Rovers supporters, We are faithful and true, We will always follow the boys in Blue(and white) We all made a promise that will never part'

I would love a tee shirt with Smart and Randall both scoring at Trashton, Holloway taking his penalty at Twerton and that all time C*ty legend Basso on his knees clutching thin air as Lamberts shot hits the net.
