In local Wycombe news, Don Woodward due to meet FA on Thursday regarding Bristol Rovers situation. Announcement on its resolution should be made early next week Fixtures release next Wednesday (for FL fixtures anyway). Wycombe are very confident they will win. So am I - but then I don't have any of the facts to hand.

Why is he meeting the FA, cant understand that bit, as I thought Rovers had complained to the Football league.

Why is he meeting the FA, cant understand that bit, as I thought Rovers had complained to the Football league. Either he is trying to scrounge a couple of tickets for the Italy game, or they are meeting to get their stories straight. As I understand, there is also a case for the FA to answer in not passing on information to the Football League in a timely manner. But then, what do I know?

They also have money if its comp we are after; A total of £470k had been pledged by 177 fans prior to the meeting. This total has now gone past £500k after more pledges made last night.

That £500k would make a decent first instalment of our compensation!

an improbabilty of any thing to affect the rovers in the way of avoiding the confirmation of relegation, but some seem to have a thought of more fines coming their way in response to more "wrong paperwork"

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have it on good authority that this scheme is being eyed with extreme suspicion by HMRC as some very disreputable individuals who are said to be laundering cash through it. I can't see how Rovers cannot stay up with all the dodgy dealings going on there! That lot make Robert Maxwell look like a primary school kid stealing 10p to get some penny treats.

I assume these allegations are based on the evidence given by Phil Smith who has already been discredited himself?

I assume these allegations are based on the evidence given by Phil Smith who has already been discredited himself? He has also been backed by his agency that he worked for and others in the game! Also he claims that no football agents want to do any business with Wycombe because of their dodgy dealings!

Wycombe so bent, no one has worried about it until an unhappy agent thinks its time.

Probably summed up in the email Mr Smith sent to Wycombe (fortunately preserved and now with the FA/FL) which ended: "This isn't a threat - it's a promise." I'm sure it will all come out in the wash - or not, as the case may be.

Being told that Rovers will be informed of the decision tomorrow pm.
Don't know how that makes me feel. Bloody nervous. Can't see how it could be a well researched decision unless they either think we have offered no new evidence, unlikely, or they HOPEFULLY have Wycombe bang to rights. I thought their chairman was seeing the FA tomorrow. So if the FA think a decision can be made tomorrow, why do they need to see him. Unless it's a matter of courtesy, to tell him they are relegated to his face.
Don't think we have been to the FA, so it seems strange. As others have said, no one likes doing business with them, and they have broken the third party rules at least three times.
Once might be forgetful, twice might be careless. But three or more times must be corrupt. Let's hope it's the quickest promotion in history. We can't be that lucky CAN WE?

Would love it to happen but I really can't see it

Seems a VERY quick decision if it's true that a decision will be made on the very day that they're speaking to the Wycombe Chairman. That to me sounds like they're they're going through the motions of dotting the 'I's and crossing the 't's, shaking his hand and telling Wycombe that all is in order and to bugger off home and enjoy the World Cup. No chance of a reprieve in my mind, particularly as they seem to already have an opinion of Mr Smith as an 'unreliable witness' so I fully expect this to be kicked into touch. And I hope that's that and we accept our fate and plan for the Conference and hopefully exiting (the right way) in the near future
