Attendance was 4,918. Shame there weren't more there to see that one. It was a rush for me, and I decided against it, thinking of snake hitting a winner - another crap call on my part! We seem to be building something slowly here......

Uncle took me around 1972 - didn't have a clue what was happening, just the noise when we scored. Hooked ever since. Leeds became my second team at that time, and now all i have is this lot.

I have tickets. My first home game since Sunderland March 2020. We won that! If we could pull off a win, we might get some momentum. Ifs buts and maybes. Its weird but I am actually looking forward to the game.

Haha! Did'nt George dance around our defence and comfortably score? I seem to remember that. can recall being there. was a larger than expected crowd,20,000 was it? and thought there was more excitement watching stuff going on on the River behind us!!! Playerwise, i though Ball and Cooper were the best i could remember for us, ans as mentioned previous a young Paul Mariner full of eagerness ans everthing that took him to the highest level When David Williams was running midfield and playing the through balls, incredible and exciting, I am adding Paul Randall to that era though and Martin Thomas only just surpassed by Nigel Martyn between the sticks.

Personally, I would welcome some straight talking with regards to the "Stadium Project". I have been very vocal in my opposition to the Fruit Market site. I believe that our future is in Horfield (or the surrounding areas of Bristol), and we should "cut our cloth to suit our means". For me, this means either a modest new build on the current site, or a piecemeal stand-by-stand redevelopment. Either option would be exciting and awesome IMO. The UWE was the ideal new stadium project for us in terms of location (IMO) , and a positive working relationship with the local University made sense to me. That ship has sailed, although the land is still undeveloped. The short to medium term focus looks like it will be on the team, rather than stadium infrastructure. The training ground is a positive, good investment. Wael must be congratulated for that. I would be looking to make improvements to The Mem. I can't see a huge redevelopment project elsewhere ever happening for us. The Mem has the ability to generate a loud intimidating atmosphere. It just needs some restructuring and a team that we can all get behind. We, as a club, need to play to our strengths. Build an identity as the plucky underdog and start to grow a fanbase again around an identity. I'm sure it can be done. It just requires a vision that is achievable. Trouble is Rich, We were that team and UWE looked like it would change that. We are now fighting to get back to being the club most others cities football fans quite liked. B***** has played a pivotal role in destroying that. Each time i hear Joey B*****’s Bristol Rovers, i regurgitate my stomach content Sure JB hasn't helped, but we as a club haven't been as one for many many years, which is a massive shame.

..."impressive" still to see mine so can't say, but unlike us to get things done for the start of the season (shirts come to mind) no. Life is full of anything that is good being contra’d by negative. I’m too old now, so will take the good when it comes and allow that to have its moment instead of moving immediately to a negative.

Wow, I have received a small box with my ST, a letter, BRFC badge card holder and pen. Seriously nicely done!
Impressive and very unlike us.

If Lukaku is the final piece of the Chelsea Jigsaw puzzle, what can be final piece of Joey’s Great Reset? You are utterly deluded if you think Rovers are missing a 'final piece' of the jigsaw. You are also a fraud Sir, there is no emperorsuperbus. Lucius Tarquinius Superbus (died 495 BC) was the legendary seventh and final king of Rome. Augustus was the first Roman Emperor 27 BC. Perhaps you are gaining inspiration from Emperor Nero? Anyway - back to your jigsaw analogy. In very high winds we took a jigsaw to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, opened the box, and threw it in the air. We are now missing all the pieces. Resetv2 starts when Joey and his hangers on from the north west have left the building. No amount of tinkering, or signing more of Joey's mates, or aging strikers that can't get a gig at Gloucester City will help. Poor squad, poor manager. 4 down in 24 minutes to a team that hadn't scored in it's previous 3 league games. No need to over-analyse a turd. It's still a turd. I suppose we can keep changing managers....... At some point we will need to go with someone and give them time to prove or otherwise. I personally am tired of the rebuild process starting every few months. We should have allowed Clarke to rebuild and we didn't, 4 managers on, as controversial as he is, I want to stick with what we have now, watch some football and pray we get progress. Do I want it immediately, of course, am I willing to watch some growth and improvement for a push in the near future, I have to say I am. As for your turd stuff and so on, that is fine, I have seen us with plenty of those over the years. Oh for some harmony, our fan base has followed the management and behind the scenes stuff and is no longer as one, if we can at least get that back we can become a proud club again even with the limited success we have had over all time. I have always been proud to be Rovers regardless of the shocking times and standards, our fans were the envy of so many so say bigger clubs, that's what I want and miss most of all.

I hope we sell him and sign a striker that wants to be at Rovers. Its not just football, where a big pay rise somewhere else gets you thinking. if he has been offered 15% - 30 % more he should think. He may or may not love us but whichever it is the head gets turned. If we don't except the offer he has to do his best for himself and us. I hope he stays.

In the scenario Brett gets and stays fit I think he can score 20 this season. He was disapointed with his tally at struggling Swindon last time. Once we're up and running with JBs first 11,Brett should get plenty if goal scoring opportunities. Agreed he is tried and tested. He may not be quite as moble as in his 20's but he will know how to put the ball away, and with some pace around him, i say he will be an asset.

Back in full lockdown here so taking the time to watch the game. Rovers playing an attacking positive game which is good to see. Maybe I've been watching too much premiers*** football but some of our individual touches/skills look very poor at times. Despite that, we really should be 2 or 3 up based on chances Playing with purpose pace and quality. Should have 2 or 3 more. What did the 4 penalty shouts look like Jeff on tv. 2 of them looked like bang on pens!

Well he is a striker, so that’s good news. On the terrace and not feeling the confidence I has at 3pm last Saturday. Be nice to see a win, well a goal anyway.

I've never participated in the online forums before but have been a long time viewer from here in the Midlands, although in the last 5 years I've only attended 15-20 games per season due to work, I still follow the team and keep up to date. This year I'm struggling to support us, I knew Joey B***** was a bit of a devil and wasn't fussed about that but since hearing he was charged with assaulting a woman - I find it hard to back us with him at the club, I'm a firm believer that there is no excuse for hitting a woman even if she was winding the person up or if the person was intoxicated etc. I've met women and have friends who have been hit by their partners so I've seen first hand of the affects it has, for example it can make them become jumpy or wary of men which is something that in some cases is still with them years later. At the minute supporting us makes me feel like I'm sticking 2 fingers up at them, women in general and my own daughter, I did think I would be fine and would hold judgment until the trial but in reality, you don't accidentally get charged by the police for kicking a woman or your own partner in the head. If Joey B***** was under 20 years old I would probably be soft and say give him another chance because someone so young could turn their life around and become a better person but this is someone who is 38 years old, just over a year off being 40. I realise I will probably get banned for making this post and that's fine, It's just I have never felt guilty for supporting my football team until a few weeks ago but it's been playing on my mind a lot and I was wondering if I'm the only one who is feeling like this? I'm not posting this to spark arguments, so if anyone feels the same way but doesn't feel comfortable writing it on here feel free to drop me a PM. In terms of the football, it's a new team and it will take time to gel, you would expect any manager who had overhauled the squad like that to get at least 15 games. But I don't think last seasons squad was as rubbish as Joey B***** says it was, there were players who worked hard before he arrived and were then criticised by him before the season finished which I think probably made them decide to down tools. Yes they are pro footballers and shouldn't do that but they do, look at Chelsea - were rubbish under Andre Villas Boas, sacked him, brought in Roberto Di Matteo and won the Champions League the same year, they won the Premier League under I think it was Conte and Mourinho yet turned rubbish the next year and improved again as soon as the manager was sacked. I wonder if some of our players will end up feeling like Manchester United players under Mourinho, knowing that if they make a mistake he will toxic-ally throw them under the bus. Also the baseball bat / puffa jacket look is a bit thuggish, we shouldn't judge on looks but drive past your local magistrates court on a weekday afternoon pre pandemic and you will see a group of teenagers sitting there in the same outfit waiting to go in after being charged for being drunk or stealing from Poundland. Interesting. Our football club is that, the decisions being made and the personnel at the helm come and go. As supporters we are taken for granted and that we will be there regardless. I will not allow those currently in charge to break my support; many times over the years I have had to find it within myself to stand by, but my uncle took me when I was 7 (he passed away recently, and lived in Spain for over 30 years but he always talked about Rovers with passion). When Gerry came back for his second stint he said to me we will not lose a game this season, and laughed when we were terrible. Joey will not be to everybody's liking, he isn't mine, but there is something about him as a coach and as he is here I still long for good football and good results, as I will when he is gone. He seems to have some flaws, and while not condoning I want Rovers to do well and this is my concern, the other stuff can be dealt with by the authorities and the Board.

In the ground, no worries with any checks, so it’s about your own controls, which is great news. Pitch looks incredible, would suit championship playing standard. Already decent crowd, fingers crossed for 7+k Confident, but been there many many times

Lincoln have made a bid. Another L1 club looking at a player written off by some. Hope we keep him. When we do play 2 up front he will be very useful.

B***** is proving to be a costly gamble. The offloaded players appear good enough judging by their new destination. I bet Darrell Clarke would have got a tune out of at least some of them. Well, we did have another couple of managers last year that couldnt make them ping.

Letting Ollie Clarke go was another brilliant idea wasn't it. The midfield certainly improved without him, not to mention him chipping in with a few goals every season. A walking booking but he would have kept us up in my opinion.
