If it's not the referee's fault, it's individual players getting picked out. Take some responsibility Joey and acknowledge where you've got it wrong. Writing off the opposition before the game as a team we should beat is poor. We're not better than the division and it's a big mistake to think we are. We've been misguided enough to hold that view in previous seasons and we've sleepwalked into relegation.

The next excuse is already lined up.
"I can't work without Clint".
Oh, eff off B***** please, while we still have some hope of staying in the league and not losing every bloody game.

Generally in life... if everything is always someone else’s fault, there’s nothing you can do to fix things, in which case you’re no use to anyone and stuck with what you’ve got. Shame we’re stuck with it as well.
I still don’t know how he was allowed to dodge all responsibility for last season. He dropped us like a stone through the four or five who had been fighting relegation all season to dump us adrift at the bottom. Some explanation other than ‘the players are crap’ would have been encouraging. Every new manager has to take on someone else’s team, but in this case he was the victim for having to preside over it, and folk bought that.
Hopeless.

I've never participated in the online forums before but have been a long time viewer from here in the Midlands, although in the last 5 years I've only attended 15-20 games per season due to work, I still follow the team and keep up to date.
This year I'm struggling to support us, I knew Joey B***** was a bit of a devil and wasn't fussed about that but since hearing he was charged with assaulting a woman - I find it hard to back us with him at the club, I'm a firm believer that there is no excuse for hitting a woman even if she was winding the person up or if the person was intoxicated etc.
I've met women and have friends who have been hit by their partners so I've seen first hand of the affects it has, for example it can make them become jumpy or wary of men which is something that in some cases is still with them years later.
At the minute supporting us makes me feel like I'm sticking 2 fingers up at them, women in general and my own daughter, I did think I would be fine and would hold judgment until the trial but in reality, you don't accidentally get charged by the police for kicking a woman or your own partner in the head.
If Joey B***** was under 20 years old I would probably be soft and say give him another chance because someone so young could turn their life around and become a better person but this is someone who is 38 years old, just over a year off being 40.
I realise I will probably get banned for making this post and that's fine, It's just I have never felt guilty for supporting my football team until a few weeks ago but it's been playing on my mind a lot and I was wondering if I'm the only one who is feeling like this?
I'm not posting this to spark arguments, so if anyone feels the same way but doesn't feel comfortable writing it on here feel free to drop me a PM.
In terms of the football, it's a new team and it will take time to gel, you would expect any manager who had overhauled the squad like that to get at least 15 games.
But I don't think last seasons squad was as rubbish as Joey B***** says it was, there were players who worked hard before he arrived and were then criticised by him before the season finished which I think probably made them decide to down tools.
Yes they are pro footballers and shouldn't do that but they do, look at Chelsea - were rubbish under Andre Villas Boas, sacked him, brought in Roberto Di Matteo and won the Champions League the same year, they won the Premier League under I think it was Conte and Mourinho yet turned rubbish the next year and improved again as soon as the manager was sacked.
I wonder if some of our players will end up feeling like Manchester United players under Mourinho, knowing that if they make a mistake he will toxic-ally throw them under the bus.
Also the baseball bat / puffa jacket look is a bit thuggish, we shouldn't judge on looks but drive past your local magistrates court on a weekday afternoon pre pandemic and you will see a group of teenagers sitting there in the same outfit waiting to go in after being charged for being drunk or stealing from Poundland.

Mrs B***** has stuck by her man. Why not post an open letter to her and Joey?I mean you've experience and so your advice might be welcome. Some people stop their violent actions. Yes I agree we "should'nt judge by looks",but you have."Baseball bat"?

At least B***** doesn`t wander onto the pitch swinging a Louisville Slugger, like Mickey Mantle warming up.
Whatever; I agree with pretty much all that Lambert`sgoldenboot said.
I wanted B***** here. I thought he did a reasonable job at Fleetwood, and would do the same for us. I hoped he could put his violent past behind him, and channel his aggression into giving the club the shake up it needed. As of yet, it looks like I was seriously wrong on both counts. Wonder how Wael feels about it all? He seems to stagger from one bad decision to the next.

Oh yeh, baseball cap is probable, though still judged a book by it's cover. Two 4th tier games played. I'm giving him more time. 5 to 10 games. Yep,WAQ seems naive and spoilt.

Interesting. Our football club is that, the decisions being made and the personnel at the helm come and go. As supporters we are taken for granted and that we will be there regardless. I will not allow those currently in charge to break my support; many times over the years I have had to find it within myself to stand by, but my uncle took me when I was 7 (he passed away recently, and lived in Spain for over 30 years but he always talked about Rovers with passion). When Gerry came back for his second stint he said to me we will not lose a game this season, and laughed when we were terrible. Joey will not be to everybody's liking, he isn't mine, but there is something about him as a coach and as he is here I still long for good football and good results, as I will when he is gone. He seems to have some flaws, and while not condoning I want Rovers to do well and this is my concern, the other stuff can be dealt with by the authorities and the Board.

Welcome and no chance of getting banned for speaking your mind. Your view is shared by many and that number appears to be growing after the reality of what we have leading our team has finally sunk in.

"Mrs B***** stuck by her man". Do we know that she is Tammy Wynette, or has she decided it's best for her own wellbeing not to continue with her complaint. Evidently, the police and CPS see something worth pursuing.
Anyway, regardless of him being a bellend, a thug and a pretend philosophy expert, he's a s**te manager.

What about if one of those out to 'protect her' asks her. Although she would rather her family were left alone to get on with their lives. JB did a pretty good job at FTFC imo. 8 more 4th tier games i'll give him.

Bas, seriously, give me the infrastructure that Fleetwood have and allow me to lose £6m and I'll get a team into the top 6 of L1 and then watch them get hammered by Forest Green Vegans in the play offs. It's not much of an achievement really.

"Mrs B***** stuck by her man". Do we know that she is Tammy Wynette, or has she decided it's best for her own wellbeing not to continue with her complaint. Evidently, the police and CPS see something worth pursuing. Anyway, regardless of him being a bellend, a thug and a pretend philosophy expert, he's a s***e manager. What about if one of those out to 'protect her' asks her. Although she would rather her family were left alone to get on with their lives. JB did a pretty good job at FTFC imo. 8 more 4th tier games i'll give him. B***** had a transfer embargo imposed on him by his own chairman. What would a bad job look like?

And in contrast today, another Joseph, despite scoring a fantastic century in the first innings, and his team's top scorer again in the second innings, said:
"Tactically I got a few things wrong, and a lot falls on my shoulders in that respect. The game could have looked very different at lunch if I had managed things slightly different. I'll learn from that."

Bas, seriously, give me the infrastructure that Fleetwood have and allow me to lose £6m and I'll get a team into the top 6 of L1 and then watch them get hammered by Forest Green Vegans in the play offs. It's not much of an achievement really. Apparently Fleetwoods Pizza restaurant is pretty s**te though TWD according to my posh Lytham friends who went there recently.
