Even after the deceit and lies thrown at us by our present owners over the past couple of seasons the penny still hasn't dropped with some of our fans, they have no intention of investing in this football club, anything they do in this transfer window if indeed they do anything will be the cheapest option available and will not strengthen our already very mediocre squad. I will always support the club but I have no intention of supporting the current regime.

I would like to give our fans a word of advice, judge our current owners by what they do and not by what they say,if you use that premise from when they first took over until the present day you will see what an absolute bunch of w-----s they realy are.

I've had a week to take it all in. When we last employed a new manager we would not have been as attractive a proposition to get a former L1 title winning City manager an ex player who has done his Pro badge but was big name in his playing career Ollie Anyone who was currently 6th in L2. Having said that, Partick Thistle's sacked manager and Aldershot's manager (who lost 7-0 on Tuesday ) was more the trend. I am leaning more towards Cotterell than Flynn due to a gulf in experience, my choice is still Ollie. Even I as a LFC fan is reluctant to have Fowler and can't see it happening as it just cynically seems like a publicity stunt by him. Why the obsession with Holloway? He did his very best to bankrupt us last time. Here's his Wiki page, couple of good spells as manager, but mostly it's not been great. 'Olly WikiIt seems an odd thing to say he nearly bankrupt us when we sold Hayles, Roberts, Ellington and Cureton for close on £5 million all players he brought to the club.

The managerial options have changed this week. Michael Flynn has become a more attractive option. Our cheapskates would no longer have to pay Severn Bridge tolls AND he would no longer need to move home to Bristol from Newport. Of one thing you can be absolutely certain the criteria wont be who is the best man for the job but who is the cheapest. My frustration at the present situation is now beginning to change to anger, I cant wait to see the back of our joke of a board.

How can anyone possibly blame DC for our present plight he has consistently been forced to sell our best players and not been given the adequate funds to replace them. The blame lies squarely with the board and in all my time of supporting Rovers (from the early sixties) these are without doubt the worst owners I can remember, and there have been some bad ones.

Regarding the formation … It was my view that, especially in the first couple of EFL seasons, DC favoured starting many games with more of a 5-3-2 looking formation. If the plan was working he'd stick with it, and at the very least stay in the game. Then, later in the game, once it had become stretched, if chasing the game, or wanting to take the lead, bring on wide players with more of a 4-4-2 formation. The main point being that DC starts the game with a plan (his project), but has the flexibility to change it. Last season there were further alternative line up options (plan C and D, if you like). It was interesting to hear Tommy Locks say on interview, over pre-season, that they were practising fewer formations, with the thought that last year there were too many. It may be from a different sport, and from a different age, but here's a quote that I think has relevance to the modern football game: " A good side works like a good machine, but this is not to say it works mechanically. No side will run according to plan, but this does not say that its captain should not have a plan. The plan must, however, be capable of instant modification, to an almost infinite degree." - Douglas Jardine (from "Cricket" - 1936) During our bad run I've seen a few people calling for Ollie to be brought back. He may have learned from his mistakes since his spell as manager here, but the problem as I saw it was that we were found out near the end of that season and Ollie didn't have a plan B. We were playing 5-3-2, people found a way around it, and Ollie wasn't able to react and change things. Whatever anyone says about DC you have to respect his planning and ability to change if need be. Maybe not to 'an almost infinite degree', as Jardine put it, but DC will admit when a plan isn't working, and he is capable of instantly modifying it.

Not convinced by our goalkeeper didn't make any howler's but he doesn't inspire confidence with his handling and kicking.I would have kept Slocombe, apart from that a decent performance,i would like a bit more height at the back as I think when we play team's with tall physical forwards we will really struggle.

Surely any players available at this late stage of the transfer window are players nobody else wants.I might be wrong but can anyone think of one successful transfer we have ever signed on deadline day.

Best not to believe a word Wael says he is without doubt the biggest bulls***er that has ever been connected with this club. Really? Bigger than the man who said "We have a watertight contract with Sainsbury" "I have no doubt we will win the appeal" "We are going to Cheltenham, come and pick your seat" The man who borrowed from a Wonga loan style company and had we not been bought out out could have taken us into Administration. The man who walked away with his debt repaid, thank you Wael very much..... Revisionism is a wonderful thing, but you can't whitewash buslls***, what ever your reason for it! I think there is a difference between errors of judgement and wishful thinking which I think Nick Higgs was guilty of from some of the absolute rubbish which we have been fed for the last two years.

In May 2016 Wael stated that, Leicester City provide, Guess he's forgotten about that and decided that it's better to sell the best players and look to survive in the 3rd division after all Still, we live in hope, transfer window still open until 5pm Thursday. I hear Alexis Sanchez isn't happy.... Best not to believe a word Wael says he is without doubt the biggest bulls**ter that has ever been connected with this club.

We badly need three strikers at this club and not just any old strikers but Marks And Spencer strikers.

Hands up anyone who can see any appreciable difference between our current board and previous regimes (Dunford, Higgs, etc), Selling our best players without reinvesting, broken promises, basically total stagnation. When I started watching the Rovers Alfie Biggs was centre forward and I don't think too much has changed since then. As a supporter my experience is expect very little and you wont be disappointed.

Gaffer just commented in Holland we have targets as regards strikers. Meetings have taken place early this week but he said he still needs to know what budget is available ! Doesent know what budget is available. That defies belief with the transfer window closing in a couple of weeks. Even when Matt Taylor was with us and banging in the goals I thought we were in desperate need of an extra two strikers, and so I think the position is way past critical at the moment.Unfortunately you cant pick decent strikers for nothing (well we never have anyway) and so I hope our board are prepared to dig deep or I will be ready for another mid table finish.
