[qwuote author=" knowall" source="/post/227076/thread" timestamp="1619287571"] Roy, at least you're consistently bitter. It must be the chip on each shoulder. Well if you are happy with the state of our Club, I am surprised, and disappointed. But maybe we get what we deserve? [/quote]

Knowall, it wasn’t so very long ago that you were lauding Wael & co and saying how close the FM stadium was with the information gleaned from all your contacts. What’s changed?

Get Roy Keane in to assist him and we'll have two violent characters with a mental age of eight running the club. What a daft comment to make B***** is trying to make a difference as he said he is here for 2 and a half years trying to improve a club who appear to be a family club. But with few winners of matches. He said it could take six months price in the shirt has gone in my humble opinion We need local born youngsters who want to play and replace some of the high earning mercenaries we currently have. Recruitment was poor and has been a failure.

The latest coronavirus advise to come from our leader is they are thinking of telling all over 70s to self isolate for 4 months. Didnt know he was being led by monty python [bjr] I think you need to tell us what to do next you are obviously much better informed than the chief medical officer.

I would have Holloway back in a flash, I think taking Blackpool into the prem was an achievement comparable to the Arsenal invincibles. If you remember they were hot favourites to be relegated from the Championship that season, had average gates of 8000 and he actually made a small profit on his transfer activity, that he was in charge if anyone can name another manager that could have emulated that I would have to disagree. Apart from that I have watched Rovers since 1961 with lots of ups and downs but despite the fact he never won anything I think the seasons he was in charge were my most enjoyable memories.

I agree tactics and formation will not make a jot of difference, we have a very average squad and an inexperienced manager who doesent have a clue how to get the best out of them, the worry for me is I cant see anything changing for some considerable time.

What difference does it make what we get for him we wont see any of it, as in the past it will disappear into a big black hole and not to strengthen the squad. He will be replaced by a few loans and a couple of signings that nobody else wants.

If you think it’s downbeat here then have a quick browse on the other place. Talk about meltdown. Terrible stuff and we are supposed to be the better fans ! We were going to have a run like this sometime but to give the new guy such abuse, well it’s beyond me. Injuries, games played plus a manager who had had little to no time with the players and we took a beating. A fair few need to get realistic about this. We were often riding our luck as I see it. Meeting being held today with the manager and hope he can get the best out of a mediocre squad. I don't think we were riding our luck I think GC got the very best out of an average group of players and made us difficult to beat, unless our new man is cut from the same cloth we are in a lot of trouble.

If anyone thinks our owners have any intention of spending any money they are living on cloud cuckoo land.

Right fullback/wingback. Some pace in midfield Do we send Victor and Tyler back? What happens to Reilly and Moore? Can we offload Bennett? Any bids for JCH? The answer to the four questions help determine our budget. Injury list may shape other requirements. Little, THD, Davies, Hare, Mathews any of these going to be fit soon and last more than a couple of games?

I agree a manager who is popular with the players is usually a recipe for disaster. Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp need to sort themselves out. Bloody popular managers ruining their respective Clubs Hence the word usually and not always.

Everything I've ever heard is that the players didn't like him, so will be interesting to see how they respond to this. Not buying this 'closer to my family' line, not for a second. So much for Wael and his ambition, we've just lost our manager to a 4th tier club with 4000 supporters. Lets hope we can get someone else in who the players dislike then. I agree a manager who is popular with the players is usually a recipe for disaster.

Whatever you think of Wael you have got to admit the man is a compulsive liar, I find it incredible that we still have fans who believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

It seems to me that we are losing all of our players who have shown a modicum of ability and retaining a group of very average players, if Coughlan keeps us up this season he should be given a manager of the year award.

Why is anybody still listening to anything Wael has to say, the man is without doubt a compulsive liar, the day we manage to extract him from our club there will be champagne corks popping in our house. I can accept owners without a great deal of money but I cant accept somebody who is deceiving us at every opportunity.

Im happy enough with the owners. They have provided a middling league one budget. They backed the manager in january including paying a fee for the coventry striker. They have made numerous improvements to the club including providing a fantastic playing surface. I still feel they saved the club from oblivion,if nick higgs was not in deep trouble then why didnt he pay off the bloody wonga loan before selling the club? They have not delivered the new ground, thats the big problem of course but i still believe in them. What would they have to do for you not to believe in them. The one thing you cant get away from is that they have been telling porkie pies ever since they arrived, the most glaring being we have a contingency plan to redevelop the mem in the event of the UWE falling through. Even their biggest fan would have to admit that they have never had any intention of going down that route.

If Wael and his cronies had been covertly placed in charge of our club in order to deliberately sabotage and destroy us he wouldn't be doing things much differently than he is doing now. He raised fans expectations with a pack of lies, consistently sold our best players without replacing them, allowed us to function for several seasons without a real striker and that situation looks as though its about to continue with the transfer window closing tonight, and allowed one of the best managers in lower league football to leave. I know it has been joked about but I wouldn't completely rule out Lansdown being involved what else could explain their inexplicable behaviour.
