To be fair, if you want to play 4 4 2, we don`t just need a foil for Leon. We need Leon. We also need much better team and match management because B***** doesn’t use subs well or at all Harry Anderson winning the penalty at Sutton

If we are honest with ourselves I'm sure we all know what was likely to be happening on Monday evening. JB had Callum Camps "up his sleeve" and was trying to do a deal involving a transfer fee, signing on fee, wage and contract length which Wael couldn't or wouldn't accept. If Wael did stand firm over this then I think it was the right decision and hope other Gasheads do too. you're ahead of me there swiss, but it does smell right I thought the Camps ‘deal’ fell through because Fleetwood sold Jay Matete to Sunderland and didn’t want to lose two midfielders in this window?

Think Leatherhead were winning 2 nil before losing 3-2.

Was it ' 73 that they knocked the mighty Leeds out of the FA Cup ? A bloke called Kelly wasn't it that registered their goal . Leeds lost 1 0 to Sunderland in the final in 73 Delsy. Was it Kelly and Letherhead that beat Leicester City? Edit. Foxes actually beat Letherhead and Kelly, but it was close. Yes, saw the Leatherhead game at Leicester because the Rovers game at Derby was postponed so ended up there. That is if my memory is correct!

Remember near the end of one season when we needed goals to qualify for the Watney Cup I believe, Bill controversially dropped Bruce Bannister.
Not a popular decision and he said something along the lines of it being a brave decision that only he or Winston Churchill would have taken!

From LinkedIn it looks like Louise Smith runs her own HR consultancy providing HR services to small and medium sized companies.
I would guess therefore that this is an outsourced service rather than direct employment of a Head of HR.

We’ve not beaten them at their place for 7 games.
Seen at least 3 of these and not excited about going back tbh!

The thing i find strange is that this was the team i grew up with and i cannot ever remember Fearnley. I could probably name the rest of th team but I don’t remember him, not at all He was a kind of super-sub KP. Eventually went to America like a lot of that team and did well in business out there I believe. UTG! Become a solicitor I seem to remember.

Gordon Fearnley put Rovers 1-0 up against City in late December 1974, in first League game between us for over 10 years. We lost 4-1 with all their goals coning in second half - Durrell, Mann, Tainton and Fear. Terrible weather and terrible day. Remember it well. Met some school friends who were of the Red persuasion after the game and couldn’t bear even talking to them.

No less than 20,000 please.🤞 Hopefully great news. 20,000 ? I first went to Eastville in 1967 and I can only remember one league match with a (just over) 20,000 crowd and that was a local derby, I might be remembering incorrectly so if anyone can put me right I would appreciate it. IF (and I dont think that it will for a few reasons) this stadium were to be built I doubt that it would be more than 12,500. Remember Bournemouth and Plymouth in 73/74 pulling in 20,000 plus crowds and Brighton was just under for the last game of the season.

Would hope for more going forward.

Whelans absence means it can't be the same with United apparently making changes too. Alfie seems to get under the skin of Mathew Taylor and I imagine there may be a competitive moment or two between them. Will Joe be very protective of any players for Saturdays Tranmere Rovers game or select 'benchers' to give them a game because it's 'only' the Cup? it can be pretty much the same, with Grannt slipping into midfield 3 and someone who is even more the winger than grannt into his wide slot. Hopefully Thomas if he is fit enough
