Why would he be vilified by JB and EJ?

Baldwin was very poor for Sunderland who loaned him to L2 Salford City where he couldn’t get a regular game.
Always seemed a nice bloke but more mistake prone than Harries.
And how do you make 13 being roughly two thirds of 25?

From reading that reply you obviously don’t watch the team. Best football I’ve seen from a Rovers side in the last 25 years (maybe more). That is definitely down to B***** and his team. UTG That's conveniently overlooking the fact that the last 25 years have been the worst in the club's history, with more than two-thirds spent in the basement division, a league we hadn't previously played in. In any case, the football played in the 'nearly season' (under Holloway) was better, and at a higher level. Without Josh Kay, we'd still be playing L2 More than two thirds of the last 25 years in the basement division? Don’t think so.

Looked at all the main betting sites and JB not mentioned anywhere.
Think someone is having a laugh - each to their own I suppose.

Season before last I thought Alfie had a great season playing alongside Tony Craig.

Six promotion winning games
1974 Southend 1990 Twerton 2007 Wembley 2015 Wembley 2016 Mem 2022 Mem
The best has to be 1990, can’t imagine anything ever being better than beating the *hit to win promotion.
Too many relegations to think about - wiped from the memory bank!

Now being offered a ticket for £200 on twitter by someone who appears to have purchased about 16 of them. I didn't even think a group purchase like that was possible. Still not an inkling of a response from our fans are so important, family bollocks club. The club did issue a statement this afternoon www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2022/may/news-ahead-of-Scunthorpe/

I assume their iron industries went years ago Bloo.Never really been replaced with something else then. In the scenario a decent new owner can be found,3000 to 5000 home fans ought to see the Iron at least not drop down yet another division and have a good chance of challenging. Seems to me,dropping from 5th to 6th tier can bring on a slide the likes of Workington have experienced. On the other hand, the likes of eg Wimbledon, Stockport County and Newport County show us FCs can make excellent comebacks. It'll be interesting to see how Bury do.I think they'll be back in action next season. Not forgetting Luton Town, from non league to Premier League (possibly), and if successful, the ultimate comeback and first club to do so. And Oldham potentially being the first club to go from Premier League to National League.

I suppose it shouldn't really be any surprise when you think about the amount of comings and goings we had. The players who were announced with a fanfare and a short while later shown the door (thinking the likes of Pitman and Hughes). Can't be many other 4th Tier teams who can afford to have a loan player (purportedly on £4k a week), warming the bench, while another loanee from a Premiership club (said to be their star young player) can't even get on the bench. We seem to be throwing everything at it, just need to sign Mervyn Stewart [ see what I did there ... Kitchen Cink (sink) ... yeah, you're right, it was rubbish]. We've spent double we did last year, when we were in the Division above. And we've spent not far off double what Swindon Town have paid, who barely had a 5-a-side Team pre-season. Hughes was headhunted by Argyle - not ‘shown the door’

So £57000 more for this year’s team than last year’s?
Sounds a bargain to me.

Be interesting to compare this figure with the one from the previous season which produced the relegation squad.

I would imagine that they had negotiated a large signing on fee to go to AG - as you say, I'm sure there would have been other interest at that price. If any of a number of Champ clubs wanted The Snake for a final push for promotion or to avoid relegation then £300k and any signing on fee would have been peanuts, not worth worrying about because of the possible prize. Those Champ clubs would have been aware of him, and if he had been good enough for the Champ there would have been a bidding frenzy at the start of the window. When the s**t came in for him and Rovers realised he wanted to go they offer d him around in a desperate anyone but them attempt but no-one was interested. They all, including the s**t, knew he wasn't good enough and it was all about stopping us and getting the midget out of a tight corner. Need to remember he was available on a free the previous summer as he was out of contract with us. Despite scoring 27 goals in the season before no one came in for him - apart from Oxford allegedly. Never understood why there was such a lack of interest.
