Just seen this comment posted on his facebook page. "Three spare seats on our table they should have put you with us. They only had to ask. Great to see you guys there today utg". Also Martin Bull appears to know something about what the problem was. I think he posts on here. Maybe he could enlighten us to help end the debate? "Martin Bull Martin Bull Bit more complicated than that & also please note that the BRFPA are volunteers & not paid or employed. Just trying to do our best with former players." Angas . The brfpa was Ill conceived and has has little or no planning put into it, they have a twitter page and I don’t think have any affiliation to the club at all. IF they did this then I’d expect them to be torn off a strip and to be made to follow guidelines that others do and not expect the club to just accommodate what they say. They really are nor organised at all, in any way. I will wait and see who sent Punky the details and /or tickets. If it was them then I don’t be,I EE the club have any reason to be blamed BUT once he was there, much could have been done to at least make him feel wanted and treated like the hero he was to many of us of of a certain age They have a web page: brfpa.org.uk/

old ground but the shares were devalued/scuppered ? The scheme was scuppered when the 28% was not achieved. By voting for a rights issue without any probability the scheme could take up their allocation the Share Scheme directors hopelessly diluted the schemes position. I always understood that is was a fixed target of 700,000 shares (which simply equates to 28% of the then total of 2,500,000) rather than the % itself which obviously was affected by the subsequent R.I. dilution. This makes a big difference! The agreement also provided protection against the selling of The Mem: SS AgreementAcademic arguably given the waning appetite for the share scheme and as there is still some way to go to reach the 700,000 total but presumably this aspect is still active?? A couple of positives from the interview. BB has been offered a new and improved contract. No interest is being paid on the loan from Dwane Sports. And, according to SH, the al Qadi family are committed to BRFC. On the negative side evolution is going to be frustratingly slow. But then I think back to how NH threw more and more money into the pot and yet achieved nothing. Anne, Steve Hamer was wrong when he said the interest was "notional" because this interest is "actual" and is being charged in the accounts so ownership of the money is transferred from Rovers to Dwane Sports Ltd. He said it's not being taken out which must mean it's being rolled up and in that case Rovers are being charged interest on the interest. He said the Dwane Sports loan is now standing at £12 million which is higher than I expected and indicates the trading losses could be running close to £2 million per year. I thought Steve tried hard but couldn't hide his disappointment with the way things are turning out and I don't think he should be made a scapegoat. Exactly, as I read it. Being accrued in the accounts but not being paid out as cash, thus far.

So there was a loss of 19053 pounds can someone explain to me what an impairment review is simplistically I would describe it as it's a write off. It's a reduction in the net value of assets Correct. It's the writing down of the carrying value of the shares acquired in BR 1883 - from the price paid (Share Scheme Agreement with BR 1883) to the nominal value of said shares (10p Ords.). Debit Impairment (P&L) Credit Investments (B/S) PP

Just a heads up for those considering training it back from the Ricoh Arena Halt on Saturday (can't recall whether mentioned already). Hourly service only and severe capacity problems. From the train operator's website:
"Getting to events at Ricoh Arena, Coventry
Capacity on trains serving Coventry Arena Station is extremely limited. You are recommended to travel to and from Ricoh Arena by road. Please check the event organiser’s travel advice when making your travel arrangements.
Q: Why can’t we provide more capacity on event days?
Coventry Arena Station opened in January 2016 as part of the first phase of a multi-million pound project, led by Coventry City Council, to enhance services between Coventry and Nuneaton. The second phase of the project will deliver track and signalling improvements to enable a doubling in the daytime service frequency to 2 trains per hour Monday-Saturday, together with the capability for extra trains to run on special event days.
Until the next phase of the project is delivered, it is not possible for these enhanced services to be introduced. We have doubled capacity on the line at weekends since the station opened by adding an extra carriage. Unfortunately, it is not possible to lengthen trains further as all suitable carriages are fully deployed elsewhere on the network."
I emailed in the vain hope that common sense might prevail!!:
"Thank you for your E-mail. With regards to your enquiry, we won’t be putting on additional trains between Coventry and the Rioch arena or strengthening the 17.28 service I’m afraid.
Kind regards
Yohannes Haughton
Customer Relations Advisor London Midland."
A very helpful/understanding/detailed response!

My earliest memory of Saltergate goes back to November 1985 when we trained it up there only for the game to be abandoned at half-time due to freezing fog! I recall we were either 1 up or 1-1 at the time but the goalscorer (Steve White??) was way out sight through the fog and it was only when we saw the players running back to take up their places for the restart that we realised we'd scored! The game was due to be replayed in the following February but was called off and finally went ahead in April when we lost by a goal or two from memory. As a result of the abandonment Chesterfield gave us complimentaries for the rearranged game and Rovers put on free coaches.
Great "old school" ground and decent boozers around the ground and in the Market Place made it a good day out!

Due to family commitments I struggle to get to enough games to make a ST worthwhile these days, I have been turning up and paying in the day for either West Stand or West Enclosure. Looks like I may struggle to do that next season. With a month still to go is there any chance we could break 6,000 or is most business normally done and dusted by now? Not sure about availability re the West side, but have you seen the Flexi-Ticket offering - here.

Atmosphere warming up nicely. Plenty out for early beers in the Lamb and others. Local constabulary out in force but all relaxed and jovial. Plenty of local boozers opened early too!

No thanks. There's not enough pubs on Glos Road as it is, adding a Wetherspoo will mean there'll likely be fewer in the future. Surely the Anchor does a passable-enough Wetherspoo impression for anyone on Glos Road who can't bare to be away from their identikit soulless stale-beered local Wetherspoo for more than a few hours? Any company that gives my son a job is okay by me!
I do think people can be a bit snobby about a Wetherspoons. Admittedly some are soul destroying places, but I have also been in a few that are absolutely fine.
Agreed.
New Spoons opened here in Portishead last week - The Posset Cup. Not everyone's cup of tea but a decent offering and the new one here looks ok structure/atmos wise. Also, employing a good number of people.

Note 16 states that there are 8.2 million fully paid ordinary shares. The directors have about 4 million of them per page 2. Do I take it that the Share Scam and the like hold the balance? based on posts above, 3 million of the missing 4 million have now been found. Huzzah!
Note 27 seems a bit odd in that context - 'no single related controlling party'. Maybe that's a standard disclosure?
Correct. PP
