This years accounts say Nick Higgs only has 18.5% stake in the club, down from 54%

COPIED FROM gASINCIDER ON GASCHAT
have to to say the relevant bits have been scanned and sent to me so it could be someone else with an anti Higgs/ board agenda.
We lost £950,000 last year up from £566,000 the previous year. However the most interesting feature so far is the directors holdings.
Now. Previous year.
NH. 18.4%. 54.2%
BB. 11.5%. 11.5%
EW. 1.75%. 2.21%
CJ. 0.43%. 1.62%
On the face of it, our board no longer hold a majority of shares. It begs the question who now has the 37% that seem to have gone walkabout. Holdings have reduced from 69% to 32%.
Of course they could be held in trusts, or even now owned by someone not currently on the board or any number of scenarios.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Or maybe NH has sold them to an at present unnamed investor but surely it should be recorded in the accounts somewhere even if it has been transferred to a pot marked X as opposed to omitted entirely

Reading that again, that would mean the current board own 32.08% add on the SC (can't have that many shares) that must still leave at least 65% unknown, that is one hell of a buy in.

Wonder if there has been an issue and Toni the Till has got his numbers around the wrong way. Perhaps NH has 81.4% not 18.4% T the T has been known to make mistakes even on legal documents.....

Geoff Dunford owns 1,318,221 as opposed to Nick Higgs 1,500,000 as at 30/06/2015.
NH used to be the majority shareholder with approx. 54%, he is no longer the majority shareholder.
I believe that a few others - non Directors - still have large shareholdings in BRFC and these do not need to be disclosed.
The accounts show that disclosed shareholdings as:-
BB 938,293 GD 1,318,221 NH 1,500,000 RK 260,000 KM 5 EW 142,857 CJ 35,714 BSS 10
Some of the above may hold shares in holding companies

Will be interesting to see the actual document as I would have thought it should show the breakdown of who owns what.

Do the accounts not state the total number of issued shares?
Edit: No-one else's percentage has gone down, which would have happened if new shares had been issued, so we're just looking for NH's missing shares. Suggestions above seem to cover all possibilities. He's either sold/donated them (to person unknown, or back to the club), or tucked them away in a mystery fund.

Not sure holding companies would not be included - beneficial interest? Any GAAP experts round here!?

Or maybe NH has sold them to an at present unnamed investor Or the 2,919,828 shares have been sold back to BRFC. But then they wouldn't be outstanding shares, so wouldn't be included in the percentages, surely?
