Good luck to all of those going, but does anyone know why BRSC has called an EGM? Baffles me too. EGM suggests the membership are required to elect in something or somebody. Otherwise it's just a general meeting The following is an extract from the SC Website:
"The BRSC Executive Committee meeting on the 6th of May was attended by all the elected members, including the two directors representing BRSC on the board of the football club. It was unanimously agreed at this meeting that we would seek to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of the supporters club membership as soon as is practicable. The BRSC Executive Committee have arranged to meet again very shortly to detail our reasons for such a meeting and to clarify the protocols for such a meeting. It was decided that we would invite the Chair of the football club and/or other directors as well as the manager of the first team to this meeting."
The Constitution gives the Executive Committee the power to call one without reference to the membership:
"9. Extraordinary General Meetings 9.1 An Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) will be convened at any time at the request of the EC or within 21 days of the receipt by the Secretary of a request to do so."
