Oh what a night!? They (red lot) were bricking it from tunnel to pitch and beyond... and Mr Keyes enjoyed making a business decision to buy some of the sh!thead home made t shirts prematurely declaring themselves as champions!? David Mehew. Top scorer that season with 21 goals in all comps.... when was the last time we had a player score so many from midfield? We had unity, strength in adversity and optimism. Now, that respect for the fanbase that helped fund it is lost....some on both forums just get bored (as is their prerogative) and disgruntled but I have to ask myself if the same circumstances arose today, what would happen? "We'll support you evermore " we used to sing. Remember these days because they were special. Looking back I think we won some games in the car park as the opposition took one look at the delapatated facilities and just didn't fancy it. The difference for me in the 89/90 season was the 82s had the better players but we had the better team

So many happy memories from that season... Tranmere away stands out and the home game vs Shrewsbury when it dawned on us after the game, that beating the 82s a few days later, would do it for us

Having heard the lead story on the BBC news the other day about the Gas going up, I have renewed optimism that maybe Joey was right all along

Personally, I blame Professor Chris Whitty. He was the one who said we should get the Joseph Anthony B*****

If it's not the referee's fault, it's individual players getting picked out. Take some responsibility Joey and acknowledge where you've got it wrong. Writing off the opposition before the game as a team we should beat is poor. We're not better than the division and it's a big mistake to think we are. We've been misguided enough to hold that view in previous seasons and we've sleepwalked into relegation. You've obviously never seen the 😛😂 Only the scene where Leo is sketching Kate

A friendly arranged as part of a player's transfer, who has since left the club. Quite funny in a way

That is unbelievable; they are basically defending him by quoting one small piece from the prosecution statement. Not an apologist for JB or the club but the prosecutor said that? What am I missing here?

Anyone know if the case is likely to be heard and a verdict passed tomorrow? If the case is referred to a higher court or if the case is deferred to a future date, JB would have to be suspended until such time as a verdict is passed and from the club's pov that would be the worst possible outcome Virtually zero chance of the case being heard tomorrow, unless B***** pleads guilty which seems v. unlikely, until we know more facts about the case we've really no idea if it warrants a suspension or not. Can't see anything other than a suspension from duties if that's the case. Tomorrow could well be go ahead Clint, make my day

Complaining about racism and discrimination? Really, you think IW is 'complaining'? Out of interest, did you watch any of the Russia 2018 World Cup on the telly? Ok. So IW isn`t complaining. What word would you use? I did watch some of the last World Cup on the telly. While a percentage of Russian people still take a robustly 1950`s type view of homosexuality, I think that`s vastly different to a country who treat homosexuals as second class citizens, as part of government policy. Would you still want the next World Cup to be played in a country whose stated policy was to treat people of colour, the same way that Qatar treats homosexuals?
Never once said I wanted Qatar to host the world cup

Try addressing the points, just calling me silly doesn't deal with the fact that these players are protesting conditions here yet appear willing to play in Qatar. That's 'silly'. Agree absolutely. For the England team, who have been so forthright in their support of Black Lives Matter, to go off and play in a country where discrimination is carried out by dint of government decree, rather than by rogue policemen or armchair warriors hiding behind a keyboard, would be utter hypocrisy. Or is it ONLY black lives that matter to them? I`ll be especially interested to see how Ian Wright ( who never stops complaining about racism and discrimination ) handles this one.

That's very silly. I'm not closing my eyes to anything. Simply highlighting the foolishness of your latest offerings, views, rant (delete as applicable). It is ludicrous to expect the England national football team to stand alone in a boycott of Qatar, whilst the rest of the world sits on its hands. Have some consistency in your offerings views, rants please Try addressing the points, just calling me silly doesn't deal with the fact that these players are protesting conditions here yet appear willing to play in Qatar. That's 'silly'. Didn't call you silly...It was the comment you made that I considered to be silly. For the sake of clarity, yes whilst the rest of the world pays lip service, I do not want our national team to boycott the 2022 world cup...hope that's cleared that up for you

In my opinion, Southgate's failings were highlighted last night for all to see. I don't, however, think that tearing everything up and starting again is a sensible approach to take. That said GS had to learn big lessons from the final, in particular and learn those lessons fast. Re Qatar...your argument would have greater merit if you also said companies shouldn't trade with Qatar or that there shouldn't be any diplomatic ties with them. Once you go down this road you also have to include F1, golf, tennis, the list is endless and include many other nations who commit similar acts to the ones you have described. So a boycott of the England national football team, acting alone and in isolation from the rest of the world, of the Qatar world cup whilst Luke Westwood 3 putts in Saudi or Andy Murray double faults in China or Lewis drives his fast car in circles in Turkey and companies still trade is not something I would support. It is unfair to expect the England national football team to single handedly hold the moral compass for the rest of the world All reasonable arguments, but we are talking about football here, and it sounds as if you are choosing to close your eyes to keep your conscience blind. No point protesting about conditions in one of the most equal societies on earth, then willingly going to Qatar to take part in a sporting event where everything that's wrong in the country will be hidden from view. That's very silly. I'm not closing my eyes to anything. Simply highlighting the foolishness of your latest offerings, views, rant (delete as applicable).
