Vetch and ninian were both bad, for balance my memories of the new den are mainly the really nice helpful club employees I encountered on both trips.

Which, is why I'm taking it on myself. very upstanding of you ... count me in...were you at the 2006 celebration evening at the Mem ?
Alfie Biggs, Bill Roost, George Petherbridge and Josser Watling were there sadly ten years on just Josser left
A programme was done including reprint of original 1956 issue plus coffee mugs and glasses I still have mine
Kim Stuckey showed some pathe news footage of Rovers of that era ..sadly pathe did not cover actual match ..they did not spot a GIANT KILLING
I was there (in 2006!), memorable night with some great tales told, will stay with me.

I don't know why I'm saying this maybe it's the booze but well done and good luck in L2 next season hopefully we will meet you in the league in the future. Good luck, A heartbroken Mariner I know how we'd be feeling if it was the other way round mate, you DO have my sympathies and we want you back in the league with us where you belong. Loved the support your fans gave your team, I'm thinking of buying some drums next year if nothing else to wake up some of our fans who appeared to be in a coma for most of the game, mostly we were pathetic. Ah the old drum debate, no thanks!

Would you get that at a sterile all-seater? We have generated it at many a sterile all-seater away over the years so why not at home?

Anyone had experience of tube travel from Wembley after a game? I expect a long wait, but wanted to get san idea whether it's a nightmare or an acceptable inconvienience My advice if you are doing this is to be patient. It can take a very long time with a big crowd. That said, it is better now than it used to be at the old Wembley for a big game. In my experience it runs very smoothly at the new Wembley only about 20 mins wait from memory

If anyone has a ticket for sale please let me know. Good friend of mine missed out due to club incompetence, top, top bloke who probably hasn't missed a game for the last god knows how many years. Any help appreciated! Luke I second this

The raffle tickets were handed out to ensure that people didn't queue when they had no chance of a ticket. [/p][/quote] Are you joking? Tell that to the people who waited 3 hours and had a raffle ticket but got nothing.

So they must have given out more raffle tickets than there were away tickets? You couldn't make it up! Not necessarily. But they would have given a ticket to someone who was there with several season tickets to get tickets for their mates. I know of groups who do this, saves on everyone having to trek up for tickets. So away tickets would have sold out before all the raffle tickets were redeemed they gave a raffle ticket per season ticket, my group does this.
