...for anyone interested (and not interested!)the Wellington Pub is now a fortress.
A five foot wooden fence surrounds the entrance in a wonky curve.
I've not been inside since last season, but what I can't figure out......are they trying to keep us in, or out?
Apologies if this is old news, first time I've seen it. UptheGas..

Think they've probably just been told to keep their customers off the public pavement, or maybe its for their regulars who smoke.
They've had a total refit, which is why they were shut for the playoff second leg. Still a good boozer and no question they'd still want your money.

Bath ales pubs all serve dark side instead I believe, also their s***e bounders cider. Thank god for gem!

Love the dark side ...the Bath ales drink that is ...we went in there for a meal six of us after the Rovers open top bus celebration I admit it was my first visit for over a year at the Welly and was amazed at the menu price and how they have made it a more upmarket pub.
Sure they are missing the lovely rugby types on a Sunday although I am told they do go in there before matches at BS3. I feel they just about tolerate the rift raft that our footie fans ...their loss will be when we move to the sw***y new all seater stadium at the UWE .....UNITED WITH ENVY |

Get a Bath Ales 'Loyal Hare Force' card. You accumulate points, works out about 5% off. I use it for a free meal occasionally at my local Bath Ales pub, The Hop Pole.
