I look forward to 20 minutes of buzzwords and vagueness.

Unless Wael has something definitive to say... there would appear to be very little point to this interview. So fingers crossed there is something he actually wants to convey. Maybe it's a preemptive strike to prepare us for the 2017-2018 accounts that have to be published by the end of the month? I remember 20man gave him quite a hard time a year or so ago and nothing significant has changed. He took Wael to task over rather fluffy "mission statements" and asked him about the lack of any coherent strategy to actually meet the overall objectives. Let's hope we're all pleasantly surprised. Hope springs eternal. UTG.

Apparently the site for the new stadium is either in Bristol or South Glos so that's good news...how anyone can believe in this berk amazes me.

Definitely up for sale.
Have to say, Nick Higgs wanted out for years and I suspect the details of the UWE deal might have been different as described. Itβs a possibility.

My conclusions:
Club up for sale as there is no commitment to fund major projects
Dreaming of new site.
Constant theme: vagueness, "Nothing concrete".
5:58 again!!

some points....
interview agreed pre-Gills match WAQ had lunch with DC today
UWE decided not to go ahead. UWE was the site under recent consideration 'via another party' - which sounds to me like an additional investor/club purchaser Rovers were 'so close to having the stadium' after 2 years. Very disappointing setback, frustrating UWE decided they wanted a different use for the land. Rovers would have liked freehold the Colony development has been stopped due to it being linked to the stadium. My take is that they don't want to spend money until a bigger decision is made, although WAQ said it was 'not a funding issue'
several new sites being investigated, in Bristol and S Glos. It sounded to me like one is preeminent - though maybe saying that to suggest Rovers have options these investigations are costing a lot of money - as the accounts will reflect not sure if gonna buy a site then seek planning permission, or the other way around. Similarly, selling the Mem will probably involve the buyer getting whatever planning permission they want developing the Mem is off the table
buyer was doing due diligence on BRFC - as DC told 20p - but nothing concrete has come of it yet. That was what all the noise was about before Christmas I think. I suspect the UWE being back on the table was intrinsic to that WAQ takes calls every day from people interested in buying/investing/being involved in developments - 'that's the business we're in', 'we feel obliged to take the calls'. Sounds to me like it's still for sale
I wondered - accounts are out soon. Is WAQ trying to manage whatever message they will contain

he knows he hasn't got much to sell at the moment
if he can get new stadium site with planning/Mem sale/training ground/Championship telly money/hotel/flats/cinema/shops into the prospects, it'll make a much better package

it does seem odd that the pre-Christmas UWE adventure fell through. And I thought the planning permission on UWE lapsed some time ago - maybe it was thought 'revivable'
there were rumours that it was due to UWE being fed up of the AQs, but we can't really know. This time Wael seems to suggest it was UWE who changed their mind (not 'didn't respond to our deadline' like last time)

What a car crash of an interview, full of contradictions, kept disappearing up his own derriere. So the party is over, we are up for sale and those who believe we are not are as deluded as he is. Would you buy an used car from him ?
