It's not the questions themselves...it's the follow-ups which come from the answers. At the SC EGM there was very little follow-up allowed. If it is strictly one question then just one answer it could be a very frustrating night!

Strange how all these people are criticised once they've left! Why didn't those with the power do something at the time?!

Just to let everyone know. We have invited both Bristol Post and Radio Bristol along for Tuesday's Supporters meeting at The Wellie - awaiting replies but we are hopeful. So make sure you comb your hair and your Rovers shirts are nicely pressed !! ....and Richard Latham, freelance, who writes for the Sunday Independent amongst others, is also aware of the meeting......................

more telling is we have appointed young men, experienced managers, gritty northern men, something in between and none of them have worked.
Exactly...nail on head. Do you think any of the BoD have considered this? I wonder just how their selection and interviewing processes work. After that they need to review how they work with a manager...OH, IT'S JUST SO BLUDDY OBVIOUS!!

Older fans will remember when players had their best days with Rovers or City, then played out their league years with Torquay or Exeter, finally kicking a ball around at Bath, Wells, Salisbury, Glastonbury.............. How times have changed!

I go back to the players of the 60s for my heroes; but if you bypass long service and quality and just reference making a significant contribution you'd have to say Andy Rammell.

................ it would have happened during Ken's time as a board member, so even if he wasn't present at the meeting he would have requested minutes so that he was fully up to speed with what's happening around him. They have minutes?! Next you'll be telling me they have an agenda, matters arising, reports from each director regarding their area of responsibility, actions undertaken and AOB, with date of next meeting; all discussed at a meeting with papers distributed two weeks in advance! P.S. You do know who takes the minutes of board meetings, don't you? (Amongst all his other roles!)

good solid player - smith off? Smith = RB, JJ = LB. JJ is so left-footed he could have a wooden right leg and you wouldn't notice!

Particularly sad was this part of the piece:
'Higgs also paid tribute to the work being done inside the club's youth department following the emergence at first-team level of youngsters Tom Lockyer, Ellis Harrison, Alefe Santos, Mitch Harding, Pat Keary and Josh Southway.'

I agree. Why is our break even figure based on average crowds of 9500!!! That one statement alone, willingly confirmed by TW and NH, illustrates that something is seriously wrong at our club. Why are our overheads so high? How do smaller clubs with far lower gates do so much better than us? That evidence alone shows that serious questions need to be asked!

Three words came to my mind when reading this: Complacent Arrogant Denial He just can't see that there is something very wrong INSIDE a club which has quickly fallen from L1 to the Conference. There is no sense of urgency at all in setting up a meeting to answer the concerns of ALL fans. The Review seems to be amateurish at best. He cannot see that he should focus alone on the new ground and let someone else look after other matters. As said above, his awareness of unrest is a plus...but he doesn't seem to care a toss about it.

Looks like NH doesn't have the balls to call this meeting. Six weeks since it was announced and only one week away from July! He probably can't decide how to organize it, and will probably hide behind the fact that he's had the SC EGM.
Edit: I have just read in the BP that....'(NH) will be meeting with supporters groups over the coming weeks' Perhaps he could come along to the Wellington on 1st July. We've made all the arrangements...and any fan is welcome!

Good luck to you Rod...hope you succeed.I also agree with bs10er though, so if you were elected I'd hope that the board would make BSS a director and have the balls to maximize his skills and contacts in PR and marketing.
