On the OS there's an interview with Marcus Stewart about his new role as Assistant Manager. It looks like he's not going to be replaced as Development Coach, but he will oversee that role. He says:
“I will still be responsible for organising midweek reserve/development games, though we may not play as many as we did last season because we don’t have as many players on the books."
Well, I didn't think we played that many anyway; and surely Clarke has said there's more signings on the way. Even if youngsters go out on loan, as Clarke has said, they have in the past been brought back for these games for coaches and manager to have a closer look.
Good luck to you Marcus. I hope you do well in your new role, but I'm disappointed by this news.

I think the very reason Jon, Mark and I, and also the BRISA gang, are doing what we are doing is because we are behind our club. If we didn't care we'd be finding something better to do with our time! When I'm on the terrace I support the team; no booing or abuse. But as a fan since the late 50s/early 60s I can see that as our club is now in the Conference something is very wrong and needs to be put right!

Today a largely unsung servant of Bristol football celebrates a 'significant' birthday.
Debut in 1972 and 260 games for Rovers, captaining us in the old Division 2.
The only player to captain both Rovers and City; perhaps we can forgive him for saving City from extinction by being one of the Ashton Gate Eight !
Still at Rovers, heading up the Community Department.
Anyone who knows him will know that his blood runs blue.
So happy birthday Pete Aitken . Thanks for all you've done for Rovers over the years!

If you had pink and blue boots which would you have on each foot? Perhaps pink is like Red and that reminds players that's their Right foot; and it's a Light blue so that must be the Left foot! Do you think we'll see pink and blue boots in the Conference?

'Please submit your questions when registering, as they will not be taken on the night.'
Unfortunately this sounds like a rerun of the SC EGM. Will we be able to ask follow-up questions? It looks unlikely! Who will sift through the questions before the meeting? Why only 'other members of the board'? I would have thought that after our catastrophic relegation they should ALL be there to account for themselves!

It's a tragic irony that some people have lost their jobs not because of their own incompetence but that of those in charge of them!

I wonder if these clubs have swish suites to accommodate visiting directors?! They might have to stand with us on the grassy slopes!

Ian Holloway had a women's prison named after him, Rickie Lambert an old-fashioned dance, Larry Lloyd a bank and Campbell a whole range of soups.

Get the feeling we'll be taking over some of the home stands at away grounds this year! Stands!...you think they've all got stands!

As I've said before....there was little opportunity for follow-up questions. They squeezed 44 questions into one and three quarter hours! That's why NH's Q&A must take his answers from the SC EGM as the starting point. Like......'If our break even attendance is 9/9,500 how do we have a budget based upon that assumption and how do clubs with far lower attendances perform much better?!'

Still cant get over some of those answers That's why it's important to use those answers as a baseline for questions.....

The most frustrating aspect to the SC EGM was the lack of opportunity to ask follow-up questions. The initial answers from NH usually begged for clarification or discussion. Therefore at the Q&A on the 21 July it would be a good idea to look at the questions and especially the answers from the SC EGM and frame follow-up questions. Otherwise we are going to learn nothing new and go home in a worse frame of mind than when we arrived! The questions at the SC EGM were www.bristolroverssc.co.uk/news/article/2034...and here's the link for the official SC EGM minutes: www.bristolroverssc.co.uk/news/article/2041
