On paper a good signing for us, all the best with BRFC Lee. I particularly liked this from the O/S . . . In his first year at Plainmoor, Torquay were relegated to the Conference, but Mansell played an integral role in their return to the Football League in 2009.

I see our DOF is pictured with the new signing on the O/S article. Was obviously very much wanted by more than just DC .....

NH: looks like he's lost weight = stress? Is tanned though = sunbathing at the new site?

According to the o/s he is Torquay's most capped player. Do you get caps playing for Torquay United then?
Mind you, it says the same on his Wikipedia page - obviously where Kirsty cut and pasted the information from.

A midfielder isn't he? Well if he can control and pass the ball at a decent tempo good. Then tackle when the oppositionnhave the ball.
That will do.

Excited at the possibility of having a midfield pairing of the quality of Mansell and a fit Gow if of course Gow does prove his fitness

They are certainly sad to see Mansell go on the Torquay forum, top man and a top professional according to them. Looks like new captain material.

Bristol Rovers are a non league club and Lee Mansell is capable of being a Football League player so IMO a decent signing.
It does feel strange taking players from Torquay and Exeter when traditionally they went the other way.
