Sorry to be bit nit-picky but there were far more than 11 at the Welly meetings, I did a 200 mile round trip for each. At the second meeting, with a forum approaching in the Bristol Room, questions were produced to be asked and some got through the filtering system before the forum but were batted away. (I asked two of my own, but got chastised for not using the exact wording of one of the questions submitted.) I attended a meeting in The Sportsman before a home game about forming a trust, now that had about 11 at the first and less at the follow up. Of course all this happened soon after the collapsed BRSC project. People attempted things, but did not get far. The main fault with the Welly thing was that it didn't know what it was or what it wanted. As I recall, and yes I did attend, I was the tall, dark handsome one at the back, all that happened was some talk about what questions Higgs should be asked. The people organising it were well intentioned, good people, and this isn't a criticism, but it had no objective that I could recognise. I was one of the three who organised those meetings, and attendance was about 60. I agree that we didn't know quite what to do, but the context was that nothing was coming out from the club and some sort of signal had to be given that showed that the fans needed to know that what was going on. I had a conversation with Richard Latham at GCCC who had written the previous week that fans needed to get behind the club in their hour of need. He took on board that fans had been doing that for donkey's years and in fact wrote an article the next week basically saying that it was time to speak out. We are an apathetic bunch, but if nothing is said or done we'll continue to be taken for granted.

Gasincider has well and truly exposed the motivation for someone to gain access to the Bristol Rovers boardroom (I've just read his explanation), I think that the individual involved should have declared his interest honestly at the time he stood for election because it now appears that a business had something to gain from his being on the Board. Spare me all this "I do a lot for charity" nonsense. I really have nothing against the individual concerned but I do have a problem who used the supports Club board room position as a vehicle for something else. That stinks. Regards John Malyckyj Just had a look and can't see the bit you are referencing, can you put up a link or copy and paste the text? It's there if you search...won't say any more. He has removed just one of his snide references to a 'garage mechanic in Clevedon' (paraphrase).

Something to keep an eye on is if this has any ramifications for the Community Trust. If I remember correctly it was the previous board, in particular Nick Higgs, who asked KM to lead the Community Trust. This he has done since, keeping 'power' very close; chairing all meetings, arranging agendas and taking minutes. Back under the old regime Toni Watola would attend meetings and 'look after' the finances. So back then the link with the BoD was strong. More recently I understand that Steve Hamer was an attendee at meetings. Then there is the matter of the Study Centre, housed in a room under the Dribuild stand and used by many students. I'm only guessing but I wouldn't be surprised if TG would love to have that space to use to generate funds for the club. So, watch this space.....

I think the lack of a basic command of the English language is what has made that statement read as stupid. Laziness more like. That's not the only mistake. Why someone can't read through and pick these things out before publishing, I really don't know. Get it right and it might seem less like a box ticking process. If someone will provide a flip chart and some felt tip pens I'll give a presentation on the correct use of and it's and its to anyone involved in promoting Rovers!

Drove to and from Clevedon today through Failand. Seems only a short while ago that Bristol Rugby's plans for a new training ground were announced. Work now progressing apace. We really are going nowhere fast!

Carry on up the Mem? I can see it now Kenneth William's as Wael Charles Hawtrey as G Chappell. Sid James as Tom Gorringe Hattie Jaques as Graham Coughlan. DC always reminded me of Norman Wisdom as he walked across the pitch.

Is there anyone in our squad that can take the ball and attack defences? From the little I've seen of him Tomlinson is prepared to take on defenders; and when Hargreaves came on recently he almost immediately won a free kick on the edge of the area following a Lines like run at the defence.

Sorry for my choice of words. I am genuinely trying to understand what the problem is.
I have used 2 methods of entry this season and had zero problems getting in the ground with the system we have
I could just as easily speculate that the problem is fans staying in the bar until 2.55 or 7.40
Maybe someone would get caught once like that. ............... people aren't searched until they arrive at the turnstile so that causes a delay, insufficient number of stewards searching at peak times Couldn't believe the search that happened in front of me at the East Terrace turnstile before the Accrington Stanley game. Fellow in front of me was on his own, possibly in his 60s/70s and dressed smart/casual. He happened to be wearing a flat cap. Steward asked him to take off his cap and then examined it closely, running his fingers around the rim. What did he expect to find....a Kalashnikov...a flare...?

Please read what Gasincider writes on p95 of the thread on other Forum. Damning. This view was shared with me by another trustworthy supporter today. My conclusion from my NON ITK stance😂😂 There is interest in buying the club from an individual, not a consortium. In my opinion, this individual has been playing the long game from 2018. But I think 2018 probably centred on resurrection of UWE. Wael does not wish to lose his El President role. Hani wants out as it is a loss-making business. Wael's sudden GT interview was allegedly an attempt to scupper the deal. All a bit of a mess, but the biggest danger to progress is Nice Guy Wael desperayely trying to cling on to his vanity project. If Fruit Market is an option, it is not AQs' plan. The family dynamic over the sale intrigues me. Caveat to all of the above - my opinion only. Sounds like a fair objective observation based upon the bits and pieces that have crept out together with various winks and nudges!

Plenty of parking spaces in Totterdown. You must be joking!....unless your tongue is firmly in your cheek! The roads in that area are crowded. Not just residents with big terraced Victorian houses, no driveways and 2/3 cars. Weekdays commuters and weekend shoppers parking there and then walking into town. Holiday makers parking up for 1/2 weeks and then getting taxi or airport bus. Increasing number of camper vans parked up.
