Could I have a firm-skinned Brazilian model sent to my room in about half an hour please? A bottle of champagne and a few canapes would also be appreciated.

I used to read the poetry and economics of Milton and Keynes on a bench on Wimbledon Common.

A very good set of questions, which gives the lie to the idea that ordinary SC members are just helpless lackeys who blindly follow the Board.
Whether most, many or indeed any of them actually get asked is another matter.
I think an emergency question 45 might get tabled first.
45. Although we realise that the Board are very busy at these important times, would it be possible for any of them to share their plans for the future success of the club we all love?

Every year the bookies make the Gas one of the "Promo-Fav's" and every year I ask myself WHY? Coz the odds are based as much on how much money is put on, as the chances of it actually happening. The more we outnumber the fans of other clubs in our league the more likely we are to be favourites, regardless of the mess we are in. I'd agree with that if I knew of any Gasheads actually believing that we will get promotion. So if none of us are betting on us, then it must be others who think the Barcelona of non-league are bound to bounce straight back. Although actually, there is one Gashead who believes, but sadly Richhertford has chosen to join Gaschat and not here. Which is a shame if he wants to spread the word and convert the cynics.

How do you admins keep up with all this? You ask for a new player or redesign to the forum, and 10 minutes later it seems to be done!
You're doing a fantastic job, and well done.
Are there any little perks or are you just chained up in a cellar somewhere?

It's a terrible website which I only look at when someone points out something hilarious.
I know it's based on a template, and you have to work with what you've got, but the club seem to have decided that since the template is crap, the content may as well be too.

Frank Lampard to leave Chelsea and possibly play in the USA.
A great player, a model professional and I for one will miss him being on the scene. He's past his best now, of course, but I hope he can still provide a few last great moments in Brazil.

These things are all relative. As the ex-Grimsby manager Albert Einstein proved: - where: e = our rate of exit from each league to which we descend m = the number of new managers we employ to fix the problem and c = the power of the board, which is huge but fixed and unmoveable. As m increases, so does e, to the point where it is impossible to move faster than c (the power of the Board) and at some point we are sucked into a black hole and squashed to an infinitely small singularity (the Downs League), from which it is impossible to ever escape. I thank you for your time.

You need to get a grip, if we'd spent less time worrying about a mythical new stadium we'd still be in the Football League. If we waste next season worrying about a mythical new stadium we'll be relegated again. Unfortunately my forecasts last year about the effect of this nonsense were true, I don't want to be proved correct again. If we must sell to Sainsburys we'd be better off doing a ground share with Bath, understanding where we sit in the scheme of football things, forget about a 22000(what a joke) seater stadium and concentrate on Conference Premiership survival. ps will we be able to even field 11 contracted professionals for game 1? I don't know if you're being serious. You seem to be. Imagine if the next press release from the club was: "Due to our current non-league status and reduced budget, we have decided to put plans for the UWE stadium on hold. We are selling the Memorial Stadium to Sainsbury's with immediate effect and will, for the coming season, ground-share with Bath City, which many Gasheads remember with fondness. The Board will hold onto the funds from the sale of the Mem until our longer-term status becomes clearer. Some of this money will be used for strengthening our squad, and some will be reserved for future stadium proposals." There would be riots in the streets, a mass exodus of fans and the club would sink into oblivion.

Good luck to him. Now what are we going to do with the sell-on money? I'm going to have a bottle of Cobra and a chicken dhansak. You do what you want with yours.

I think that's quite significant, in that he thanks the staff (not management or board), his colleagues and especially the fans.
I would imagine that JJOT feels much the same about the way this club is run as the rest of us.

I can see it ending up like this if it's not well organised:
Presumably there will be some statement of what the meeting is meant to achieve and not just an open free for all, which wil not end amicably over a bag of cheese and onion and a pint, given the very strong feelings at the moment.

The e-mail I received about this new forum said we should keep the new url to ourselves for the time beng to avoid spurious registrations etc.
I understand that to some extent, but although we might get most old members migrated over (and there are still several hundred to do so) we might miss out on guest viewers and potential new members.
I know we don't want to be flooded on day 1 with red teds, but after a day or so, can't we start to publicise this on twooter, facebook, other forums, and any other way anyone can think of?
Maybe a naked waterslide down Park Steet by the Admins?

On the old IF, threads where I had read all posts had a pale coloured envelope symbol, whereas threads with unread content were a darker shade. Is there an equivalent here? Can't seem to see it.

My little pirate pussy cat looks fine.
I cut and pasted it from my profile on the old forum.
EDIT - I don't seem to be able to preview my post, or is that just me?
