JonJoe has just posted on twitter; john-joe o'toole @johnjoeotoole · 22m
All the best to BRFC. The staff, players and massive thanks to the fans who supported us throughout. Always remembered
My response is good riddance didn't live up to expectations and sulked to much, isn't as good as he thinks he is.

I think that's quite significant, in that he thanks the staff (not management or board), his colleagues and especially the fans.
I would imagine that JJOT feels much the same about the way this club is run as the rest of us.

I wonder if we have an ex-player here who will spill the beans on whats going on at the club?
If he did how credible would it be?

What ever he has done to annoy people the fact is he scored goals and his goals won us games. Wish his attitude could have been a bit better though. Maybe he will learn ...

a relagation clause is dangerous... Only JJ will know how much that clause affected his mindset ... but the thought must have been there somewhere that no matter what happened he'd be ok... his goals will be missed .his attitude wont be

Otherwise there's the potential for being actually rewarded for failure. I'd love to know, really, what the difference in earnings is between, say, a decent League One pro who stays loyally with his club through thick and thin, and a decent League One pro who just manipulates his career to make as many moves as he can for as much money as he can.

Whatever people 'presumed' his attitude was, this whole hate thing about JJ has gone over the top. He alone was certainly not to blame for us being relegated - in fact it was only his goals that kept us out of the bottom 2 for so long. It's about time we channeled our vitriol at those who have been overseeing this disaster of a club for year after year of failure.

The only set of supporters I'd wish O'Toole on is those south Bristol morons.

I agree but he made it well known that he never wanted to be here from day dot. I think as a professional some things are best kept to yourself. If he went the season without the "I should be playing at a higher level" attitude he would have left being hailed as one of the good guys, despite all his bookings.

From a football perspective, I still can't get my head around his assist statistics (or lack of them).

Attitude problem most definitely but imagine him playing for us in the skrill. He would tear teams apart. Glad to have the wage space though.
