The chairman categorically stated on the night of the Wael bbc documentary at the Mem we would be getting he uwe. He lied. We are all being deceived as to his and others' credibility in running a professional club. Don't let your heart rule your head, GasHeads, something is very wrong here. Surely you don't believe a bad deal at faceless bowl is better than no deal for a new ground? It'd have been the very definition of biting ones nose off to spite your face, imagine the meltdown in a few years time when the club is skint as we didn't make any money from home games!

Ok, we'll agree to disagree on the chairman issue, but please log this somewhere for future reference, as I'm not convinced he has our club's interest at heart as a priority. The rest of your comments are spot on, Imo.. He's does and says what he is paid to do and say. sorry CIS, but are you referring to Wael - he's paid to be Chairman/El Presidente Grande y Magnificente, and that dictates what he says?

This is a shambolic as anything under Higgs but for some reason the owners appear to be immune from proper scrutiny.

Hilarious that UWE finally come out and speak for the first time in 5 years. Presumably because they are finally not getting what Higgs promised them in that watertight contract.
The meltdown here really is hilarious. The club is in a million times better state than anytime NH had the reigns, yet everyone is in severe panic mode all of a sudden?
Jacking in the UWE is the best option. No thanks to the previous Circus.
Whatever speed bumps we've recently met, I'm confident WAQ & the dudes will sort it out.

But a bad deal for what or whom, baxt? You are making many assumptions. Fact is, no one knows why the real reason(s) Dwayne Sports walked away. It may be the case not as much exploitation of revenues could be maximised by investors? It may be protected targets were unachievable? It might be a logistical issue? There may be funding issues? No one is silly enough to wish a Coventry situation, but my point still stands. This is something like a fiasco and someone has to be accountable, surely?

Perhaps an explanation about why the chairman lied to supporters to say there was a plan B, seems clear that there is no plan B, I have believed all along that this group of people are different to Higgs, 18 months of talk that ends in nothing, f*** showing any faith in these now, trust has gone for me. Had me fooled that he knew what he was doing, just put the club back another 5 f***ing years. I think a lot of fans were clamouring for a stadium deal of any sorts - which is why people got their hopes up over this crap one which would've seen us turn into another Coventry, where we don't make much from our own home games. Wasted far too much money with the Sainsbury's saga and all the court appearances, so I think they had had their fingers burned. You're crazy if you think the current set up is anywhere near as shady and disingenuous than the last lot! Bad day in and out of the office yesterday mate, everything is going Pete Tong atm, then just about to nod off at 11 last night and the news came out, OTT on my part comparing WAQ to Higgs, that said, the fact the news was broken by a fan who had known for sometime leaves an air of wondering why the club just didn't announce sooner, something isn't feeling right about it just being a case of negotiations breaking down and we move on, waiting to be proved wrong about there being a Plan B as advised by SH.

New home for Bristol Rugby? Why would SL do that after ploughing 40m into Ashton Just guesswork on my part. But................ UWE seem really keen on getting a stadium as a prestige attraction for students SL got his honorary degree from UWE partly on the back of financial advice given to the board Forward thinking could see tie-ups with Bath Rugby/ Bristol City Ladies As a multi-millionaire SL wouldn't be as fussed about leasing v ownership Big ego-trip being seen to work with local university Putting the boot into BRFC All guesswork....probably hogwash!

Where has all this bad deal bollocks come from? Contracts were due to be signed and exchanged, the deal wouldn't have got to such an advanced stage if it was a bad one. I see the cheerleaders for the new regime are still out in force.
