Reminds me of the 5-1 drubbing at the old Belle Vue ground. A McIndoe hat-trick. I was at that one with my son , He is 23 now, he must have been quite young then. people were streaming out and he wanted to go , but I told him we stay to the end. A few weeks later I walked out when the 4th when it at Yeovil with my son trailing behind me saying 'I thought we stayed to the end dad!' On the way back from Doncaster we saw the team at the services. Paul Tait saw my sons colours and took him on the team coach and got him some signatures. Ray Graydon was on the coach but half the team were missing, so he took our address and the following week we we sent a scarf a signed poster and a personal letter from Ray Graydon. From then on Paul Tait was my son's favourite player and he wouldn't hear a word against Graydon!

Okay, the good news is, we are not bottom of the table. Further good news. B is before O in the alphabet, so we are STILL not bottom of the table.

Can you stop posting stuff I agree with. It's just not right! How about this. I'm actually happy that Newco are a bit better this season, it's got a bit tedious winning 9 in a row with no real competition. Hmmm, not too sure about that. I would prefer it if Aberdeen or Hibs stepped up to the plate.

We didn't get a penny for Lockyer did we Harry? I thought he walked at the end of his contract? Then a year later walked out on Charlton after playing every game (apart from 3 where he was suspended) in a season where they got relegated. Meneyase and Broom, any kind of fee for those would be a bonus. Ollie Clarke, that's all down to Garner having paid no attention whatsoever to the work he does off of the ball to stop the opposition playing. I would swap Ollie for Garner in the blink of an eye. Can you stop posting stuff I agree with. It's just not right!

Next round is 2 weeks day. I've decided thats more interesting than paying £10 to watch the current rubbish. Its cheap, live, high scoring, no morons in the crowd and very competitive, I feel that the competitiveness compensates for the lower skill level, your also v close to pitch, can pick up player convos and can move around the ground. I think Covid may well see quite a large increase in attendances at lower level football. I was at a County League game where the (estimated) attendance was taken as 250 and the crowd was full of regulars at Rovers and City. This could change when the winter weather comes along and makes it not quite so pleasant to drink outside of course, but while profesional football keeps it's doors closed, people will look for a day out.

Harry said he served at Bletchley in WW2, that ended 1945, so he must have been born no later than 1929, that makes him at least 91.
Is that Trolling, or just mocking something daft that someone once said? Being born in 1929 would make him at least 90, not at least 91. Pedantic Gas

No I haven't changed my perspective, in many ways I would contend that it was the ineptitude, lack of ability and plain ignorance that stopped the ability of the scheme being able to properly and effectively represent the fan base at the executive of the club. (Don't invoke John, he was on our side of the table). But it's over, no need to carp on about it (yes I have a bit, previously). The point is that there is no point now. I don't see the point in trying to call the owner out. At the risk of boring everybody stupid, and even possibly falling foul of the forum rules that epping kindly reminded us of just this morning, if as you claim, John was on your side, why does it always end up in an argument between the two of you every time it's discussed on forums? Swiss is doing a great job analysing information, he's a damn sight better at it than anybody else on here. What can we do with that information? Understand how the club is being run is my best answer, and to me that's useful, so thanks Swiss, please keep it up. Has he? I must have missed that then.

There are two things here. Swiss is right about the statement being premature, but I think thats about it. In Wael's mind, when he said it, it was done even if not formalised And thats all there is to this story I think you are right. But there is also a lesson there for Wael and the club We have been fed decades of usually well-meaning nonsense from the owners or leaders (choose your seat at Cheltenham etc etc etc)Hamer, under Wael's presidency, sometimes added to this, as had Wael himself (the 'car crash' interview with 20p, the statement that he thought we'd be playing in a new stadium in 2 years etc) So fans are not minded to trust easily, and swiss takes the trouble to check things out So while I'm very enthused by the debt write-off, the training ground, the develop-the-youth strategy, the coherent leadership team and garnerball, I think Wael and BRFC might benefit from words being chosen more carefully Considering that they were happy to continue selling coach seats to 'go and pick your seat at Cheltenham' when they knew the deal was off, I'm not sure 'well meaning' covers that particular shabby little episode. Lying or thieving b'stards would be more appropriate.

The second of May & the Dagenham promotion game were two of the most enjoyable days/nights of my life. I remember thinking in 1990 how s**te it must have been for City fans getting promoted by dint of the result of a game involving a third party, so if it's all the same to everyone else, I would like to request our promotion (and first FA Cup final win) be held over until we can all be there
