As its now seems almost certain it will be next season before we will all be vaccinated thus making it safe to return to live matches. Therefore would you, this season, take promotion either automatic or via play-offs in the knowledge that you wont be able to cheer on or participate in the teams celebrations. Or would you rather just have a steady season ready to push on in the next campaign? UTG

This is a Naga Munchetty question, of course I'd take promotion. Jim can organise the bus tour later.

Don't care how they go up or if I'm not there, as long as they do. My childhood allegiance is to Cardiff City being born there. For Swansea to leapfrop them twice to the top div in 1982 and more recently was horrendous. The quicker Rovers do the same to City the better. Again, don't care how.

UTG First anticipated answer - Dont think with BG in charge we will have to worry about promotion this season....... oh please! I have decided to let you off on basis this is hypothetical conversation to do with covid impact, not serious about chances of promotion. However, on the central premise “almost certain it will be next season before we will all be vaccinated thus making it safe to return to live matches” thousands of football fans are in grounds this weekend. Seems a bit odd, with covid on rise and test trace currently having issues so we don’t know to what extent. Also the cost of hosting 1k fans, subtracted from what you take from 1k fans won’t = financial gain. They are season ticket holders. make a sentence using the following words, pigs, Guinea. only wish it was a controlled experiment, so if causes covid spike it can quickly be noticed before spreading. Part of Wales is shut down due to Doncaster races. They took a coach, they stopped at pubs. What we are thinking of course, by the time the issue is spotted, part of Wales locked down good n proper...

The second of May & the Dagenham promotion game were two of the most enjoyable days/nights of my life. I remember thinking in 1990 how s**te it must have been for City fans getting promoted by dint of the result of a game involving a third party, so if it's all the same to everyone else, I would like to request our promotion (and first FA Cup final win) be held over until we can all be there

All nighter Raves including an absolute blinder in Amsterdam. Then then theres the Gas, watching them bit like buses, years and years go before two come along - there was Ricky Lamberts special against the darkside which led to a cup final in Cardiff and then a more meaningful final at the New Wembley. Followed by more years and years until the two back to back promotions who can forget the drama of the Wembley Conference Final and followed up a year on with the very late winner, the long wait for news before lighting the blue torch paper and doing the okey cokey into the night on Gloucester Road. I would feel cheated if Rovers were to get promotion and none of the gas family were able to watch it live. So for me i would be very happy if we all get through the next year safely with our sanity intact. In the meantime one hopes BG and his boys prove alot of folks wrong and produce some good football in readyness for the following season when we can all turn up for that first game back and take the f***ing roof off.....................UTG

I've changed my mind. I'll take promotion this season. Nah - next season promotion for me. After we've been relegated having failed to fire Garner in time to save this season, promotion from League 2 next year is looking good. I enjoyed the last time we played there. Memories of the Daggers game. Bring it on.
