I think it depends how long a sentence JB gets,if any at all. Managers take breaks away from their football club for other reasons,so why not a short spell at her majesty pleasure? Once a person has served their sentence and hopefully undertaken a personal reformation, then they deserve a chance. The practicalities of a Manager away from his FC are not such a challenge and of course,it is temporary. If he is found guilty Basel I think his EFL ban will be longer than any prison sentence. Maybe PHE.I'm not up on EFL law and punishment.I imagine JB will have a pretty good plea to make by time the EFL authorities look at the case. Would you care to guess a possible punishment from the EFL. Something similar to Eric Cantonnas punishment perhaps? I think the plan is cross these possible bridges if and when they arrive, but have a plan B. Yep,a "plan B" at Rovers!🙃

If he cannot turn up for work, if sent down, would he be in breach of contract? Sorry Basel, if he goes to prison he's out. Who would want to see the headlines.... J B***** manager of Bristol Rovers........... Are you planning to buy out WAQ LG?😏

The only thing preventing them giving their verdict is the fact that there is a legal case pending. The EFL CEO made that clear in his BBC interview last year.

It doesn't matter how much Tim Nice But Dim backs him. He "backed" Darrell, Garner and Tisdale too. That worked.

And we do not have the details of the incident should Mr B***** be found guilty. I have no idea about EFL rules regarding the length of bans from football being handed out. I can't think of any precedent where a manager could potentially be sent to prison for assaulting another manager. Bristol Rovers eh? Breaking the mould. My point is - Mr B***** is dismantling / re-building the Club right now. Why this is being allowed to happen before June 7th beggars belief. If the EFL ban is (say) 3 months, then Wael could still back 'his man'. OK, it won't get me back on side, but hey ho. If it's (say) 3 years, that would make Wael look incredibly foolish.

So you would rather everyone sat on our hands and did nothing until the court case comes up? Regardless of anything else, the failure on the field demand that there be a major overhaul of playing and support staff. If JB does receive a custodial sentence, then at least there will be a new and hopefully stronger coaching staff in place and a renewal of players. Surely it is better to get on with the job now.

Yes. Frustrating to wait a month before an overhaul of the Club / squad. But putting those wheels in motion now is IMHO brainless with a Court case hanging over the manager.

At least we know he won't be bringing Robbie Fowler to the club.

Surely it would have been better not to have put ourselves in this position to begin with.

The sooner we get moving to get the coaching and support staff in place and start to recruit players that will be physically and mentally up for the challenge the better.

One question, do you trust B***** to bring in trusted & exponentially better , staff & players ? I do not and I think swissgas maybe onto something but let’s see Yes, I do. The oddysey under Garner now looks naive to say the least and Tisdale was ineffectual. I will say I am very disappointed that B***** seemed to throw in the towel far too early this season, but playing against his Fleetwood sides previously, they were always a mix of strength, skill and guile that I think we will need in L2.
I remember DC also saying that we needed to rid club of those that accepted losing when we went down to the National League. It took him 10 or so games to turn that season around and I would give Joey B***** the same 10 games in L2 before making a judgement.

Surely it would have been better not to have put ourselves in this position to begin with. Probably. I was neither outraged nor overjoyed with B*****'s appointment. None of us know the terms of his contract, but incapacity through incarceration would make it tough for him to do the job.
But I'd rather get on with recruiting decent staff and players sooner rather than later.

The grass has already started growing on the reseeded pitches.... Oh, sorry, I thought this was about the new training ground.

The sooner we get moving to get the coaching and support staff in place and start to recruit players that will be physically and mentally up for the challenge the better. Problem is those staff will be recruited by B***** to work with him next season, Warner possibly joining as goalie coach being one of them, what happens if B*****'s sent down for a year plus and we're then stuck with all his coaches etc? The alternative is we wait until after the case is heard/Judgement given then start recruiting them in mid June, as "Pop" said why have to put ourselves in this position, as B*****'s hardly proven he's going to be a great manager at Rovers so far.
