You don't really expect to believe you don't know what hindsight iso, but just in case here goes a potted version. Using facts that happen after an event to justify events that happened before the evenet. Or in your case, you didn't know there would be press coverage of the low attendance before the matches yet you used the fact that there was in your post. O sod it I can't be bothered with this anymore It was you that brought the press into it originally? You said that if there had been a protest in the ground it might have got press attention. Somebody then pointed out that there was plenty of press attention anyway. That's not hindsight, that's conversation.

O sod it I can't be bothered with this anymore The fact is that very, very many football fans boycotted the matches they hoped this would be covered by the press (ultimately only the press decide what they cover) & lo & behold there was negative press coverage of the competition. No hindsight involved whatsoever.

I understand Plymouth were the biggest attendance Tuesday night with 3/4 thousand?! I only know this after going looking for it on Twitter. Not exactly blasted all over the front pages. The only way is to stay away & you know it

From what I've read and seen on the media, the only thing lacking after the mass boycott of EFL Trophy games this week was any comment from the architect of this travesty, namely the Chief Exec of the EFL.
Unfortunately, the Premier League obsessed media were distracted by transfer deadline day, but surely someone needs to get a comment from Shaun Harvey. If week one was anything to go by, his blue print for changing the competition has been a disaster. Moreover, it has damaged the reputation of the key sponsor, Checkatrade, by association.

Whoever runs the checkatrade social media account on Twitter is doing a grand job of that on their own. One reply to a disgruntled supporter saw them call into question the fans loyalty, to the club they have supported for over 20 years. Needless to say, it didn't go down well with a lot of people.

Shaun Harvey isn't the only one who had lots to say about the Trophy before the first games were played and hasn't been heard of since.

From the OS about the Yeovile game: In order to reduce costs for the game, Bristol Rovers supporters are advised that the Dribuild Terrace and Stand will not be open that evening, neither will they be able to watch from the Brunel Professional Risks South Stand or the South West Stand.
Yeovil Town supporters attending the match have been allocated one block of the Brunel Professional Risks South Stand.
For the first time since we moved to The Memorial Stadium the club made a loss on our first game in the competition, when we hosted Reading.
Every attempt is being made to avoid a similar situation for our next Checkatrade tie and we hope that as many supporters as possible will attend the game.

Ignore that last line, we can afford to take a hit on this one. Stay away from this nonsense second class competition and pledge to attend next season if they revert to a proper competition.

I urge anyone not to attend.
Fans boycotting this vile hidden agenda are actually getting noticed locally and nationally.
Please please please find it within yourselves to help fund club in different ways, I'll happily drink in bars or buy 50/50 tickets that otherwise wouldn't.
Power to the people and hope message gets through even more. Lets please get less than 1400..
