Here's a clue. Bradford could be added to the list. Mixed sport stadiums? (Don Valley, Odsal, County Ground, Liberty, The Rec) Oooh! So close. Back off the post. Anyone running in for the tap in ... You're along the right lines. I only mentioned places, not clubs, so not necessarily football related. Of the ones you've mentioned you've got the wrong grounds for Sheffield, Bradford and Swansea. And the answer is more specific.

Cardiff Arms Park used to host Glamorgan as well as Rugby and football matches. I have a feeling that Newport Cricket Club used to play Rodney Parade and possibly Glamorgan may have played there at some point. The Oval hosted most of the first 30 or 40 FA Cup finals. Headingley sort of counts as a Rugby League/Cricket ground. Nottingham Forest played at Trent Bridge back in the day I think. I think Murrayfield may have hosted Scottish national cricket team way back in the day.

Good one Fargas. Okay, guess I should try one.
Blackpool - Oxford - Cambridge - Tottenham Luton - Millwall - Halifax - Plymouth Villa - Colchester - Preston - Exeter Crewe - Leicester - Doncaster - Bristol Rovers
Quite a bit of the pesky overlap, but I think only one combination that 'resolves'.

Glamorgan did play at Rodney Parade for a number of years, which tailed off to the occasional one day game in the late 80s. Apparently the pavilion housed a broken pane of glass from the nearby power station as a souvenir - it had received a direct hit from a Wally Hammond six. Glammy also played at Neath RFC (The Gnoll). Another to add is that cricket was played at Turf Moor before football. Think I'm right in saying the cricket ground and football ground still sit alongside each other.

It's where Jimmy Anderson learned to play cricket. I don't think Lancashire ever play there though I might be wrong. I'm sure there are loads of other examples of Rugby-Cricket grounds as the two often went together but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

As a starter, five have unique "second names": Hotspur, Argyle, Villa, North End, Alexandra. Thinking on...

And Oxford, Cambridge, Luton, Colchester, Doncaster and Exeter are current League clubs who have been in the Conference...but only Colchester and Doncaster are in League One. So Oxford, Cambridge, Luton and Exeter are current League Two clubs that have previously been in the Conference. Still thinking aloud...sorry!
