Dil: That Martial miss underscores why you need an Osimhen or Kane or anybody who will shoot first - horrible miss from Martial
Seth: Martial may make us play better but he's not a natural striker - that missed opportunity is another example. Haaland or Kane buries that chance.
Dil: United's game is always played in quarters - good in first, competitive in second, average in third and hold on to your hats in fourth - so another goal will be nice.
Anon: The problem with Man Utd is quality. There is just not enough players at the required level and not enough players pushing those with it harder.
Mike: This has to be some of the worst displays of finishing I've seen in a top flight game.

Since the retirement of the great Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012-13 as winners of the prem, Manchester United have finished:
7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 2nd and 6th last season.
So being in 3rd place as it stands 2-0 up v Chelsea at h/t is a big improvement on 6th last year.

73 mins - GOAL - Manchester United 3-0 Chelsea Bruno Fernandes (penalty)A short run-up from Bruno Fernandes. Kepa Arrizabalaga goes one way, Bruno Fernandes calmly slots the penalty into the other side. 3-0. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/5/25/7af18bab-7060-40c0-a285-ecb17028ee1c.jpgChelsea fans have retained their sense of humour..by Simon Stone, BBC Sport at Old Trafford. Fair play to the Chelsea fans. They have kept backing their side tonight despite the disastrous time they have endured. The away section is full, for what can't have been a very appealing Thursday night trip north. They retain their sense of humour too, singing: "You're nothing special, we lose every week." 77 mins - GOAL - Manchester United 4-0 Chelsea Marcus RashfordThat's 30 for the season for Marcus Rashford. It's a horror show from Wesley Fofana, who tries to play a pass across goal to Trevoh Chalobah. Bruno Fernandes scored the third and gets an assist for the fourth. He nips in, gives it to Marcus Rashford, who shows great skill to get past a desperate Fofana. Rashford's shot is parried by Kepa Arrizabalaga with the England striker getting to the rebound first for number four. Another humiliating evening for Chelsea and Frank Lampard. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/5/25/46d0de87-f59d-4c8b-b154-36a9b608ec07.jpg85 mins - HITS THE WOODWORK - Manchester UnitedAlejandro Garnacho has a real habit of a late goal - great for him, not so great for a late rewrite for a journalist - and nearly gets another one. His shot takes a deflection and loops up on to the bar. Chelsea falling apart here.

89 mins - GOAL - Manchester United 4-1 Chelsea Joao FelixNo clean sheet for David de Gea tonight. Chelsea lead a four-on-two break with Joao Felix leading the charge. He progresses all the way to the edge of the penalty area and arrows a low shot into the bottom corner...assist Ziyech Manchester United 4-1 Chelsea This must be horrible for Frank Lampard. He's a Chelsea legend and will always be, but it's been a painful few months for him since he returned to the club after Graham Potter's sacking. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2023/5/25/09017b38-b43e-433d-ac08-28064097fa92.jpgGet InvolvedBen: It's been an extremely topsy-turvy way of doing it, but it looks like United may well finish third in the table after all! After so many scoring struggles of late, it's nice to see a bit of gloss on the scoreline. Chelsea could potentially fall to 14th by the season's end. But boy, could it have been a lot closer tonight... FULL-TIME - Manchester United 4-1 ChelseaAfter playing in the Europa League this season, it is Champions League football on the menu at Old Trafford for 2023-24. Goals from Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford take United back to the top table of European football. Joao Felix with a bright moment for Chelsea late on, but it's another horrible day for Chelsea. Manchester United secured Champions League football for next season with a 4-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford.Casemiro headed the hosts in front, with Anthony Martial sweeping in Jadon Sancho's pass from close range to double their advantage. Bruno Fernandes added United's third from the penalty spot after being fouled by Wesley Fofana. And another Fofana error saw Marcus Rashford score a fourth before Joao Felix's late consolation for the Blues. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/F0B1/production/_129871616_gettyimages-1493264358.jpgMichael Brown - Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
Manchester United were much more clinical on the day. Chelsea had lots of opportunities and couldn't find the net. It was a really good game for the neutral but ultimately Casemiro was the difference.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes speaking to Sky Sports: "[Getting the Champions League] is decent, it's not perfect because we want more.
For what we did this season it's perfect. We get the trophy which was our goal after seeing we couldn't get the Premier League.
Now it's about finishing the league well and going to FA Cup."
On the fans at Old Trafford this season: "They've been amazing for us. We've won many games at home. They've been creating a great atmosphere for us.
They know how important they are for us. We just appreciate all the effort."
On reaching the Champions League and stopping Liverpool getting there: "We know it means a lot [to the fans]. For us it's about getting our goals.
We know we'd be happy also for Liverpool to not be there but for us it's about getting the best for ourselves."
On playing Man City in the FA Cup final: "It's about winning the trophy. We have to take the trophy away from someone. We want to win the FA Cup.
We know it's really important here. We know if we win it we stop the option for City getting the treble but for us it's about getting another trophy."

Mount will discuss his Chelsea future in a meeting with the club's hierarchy next week. Mount is leaning towards Manchester United if Chelsea decide to sell. Manchester United have been told they must pay £140m if they want to sign Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 24, this summer after agreeing a deal for his club team-mate and South Korea defender Kim Min-jae, 26. Napoli are desperately trying to convince Kim to sign a new contract before a release clause comes into effect this summer. However, Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, 29, still remains Manchester United's first-choice striker option and the club will move early in the window in attempt to make negotiations smoother. Gareth Southgate says Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, 30, and 27-year-old Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips' lack of game time is "concerning" as the England manager called the pair up for the upcoming Euro qualifiers. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/976/cpsprodpb/13817/production/_129859897_star_2405.jpg

Frank Lampard praises Manchester United's manager Erik Ten Hag.As he picked through the wreckage of an eighth defeat from his 10 games in charge, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard identified the work Ten Hag did immediately after taking over at United as key, with the manager stamping his authority on a club. That included dealing with the issues around Cristiano Ronaldo and his refusal to stay and watch his team-mates after he was substituted at half-time in his first pre-season appearance - then the refusal to come on as a substitute in a Premier League game against Tottenham in October "There has to be basics," Lampard said. "There has to be fundamentals. "I remember when Ten Hag first came people were talking about discipline and fines, the Ronaldo situation and setting the standard. Those things are where this club has had a positive upturn." ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1216A/production/_129609047_gettyimages-1487254047.jpg

SUNDAY 28th MAY 2023 - FA PREMIER LEAGUE - By Gary Rose, BBC Sport at Old Trafford
Manchester United 2 (Sancho 39, Bruno Fernandes 55) Fulham 1 (Tete 19)ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1F0D/production/_129894970_manchesterunited.jpgManchester United wrapped up third place in the Premier League as they came from behind to beat Fulham at Old Trafford. The visitors took the lead early in the first half when Kenny Tete headed in Willian's corner at the near post, and they could have gone 2-0 up but Aleksandar Mitrovic saw his penalty saved by David de Gea. Alejandro Garnacho curled a shot against the crossbar as Manchester United responded well and were eventually rewarded with the equaliser when Jadon Sancho poked in after Fred had burst into the area.

Harry Maguire: Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says defender has decision to make..ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/11BB6/production/_129903627_gettyimages-1494094839.jpgManchester United manager Erik ten Hag says captain Harry Maguire has a decision to make on his future at the club. The 30-year-old England defender made only 16 appearances in the Premier League for United this season. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have been Ten Hag's preferred centre-back pairing in his first season in charge at Old Trafford. "No-one would be happy with this situation," Ten Hag told The Times. "He is not as well. He trains always on best levels, so with 100% effort. "So he handles that situation well and he's in that manner and in his captaincy he's important for the squad." Maguire has made some costly errors this season, most recently in last month's 3-0 Europa League defeat by Sevilla. Ten Hag added: "He has high competition there [at centre-back] with Raphael Varane, who's fantastic. "Let's say I'm happy he's here and when we needed him he did his job. But it's also a decision he has to make." Maguire arrived at United in 2019 from Leicester for £80m, a world-record fee for a defender, and his contract runs until 2025. He played in all five of England's World Cup games in 2022 and has been selected for the upcoming Euro qualifiers, but manager Gareth Southgate has said he is concerned by his lack of playing time at United. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/CD96/production/_129903625_gettyimages-1483890410.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/5C4E/production/_129903632_gettyimages-1493273634.jpgWhile Ten Hag did not confirm whether Maguire would be a United player next season, the former Ajax boss said that goalkeeper David de Gea would be staying for the 2023-24 campaign. De Gea has been the club's first-choice keeper this season and won the Golden Glove award for the most clean sheets in the Premier League. Asked if the 32-year-old would still be at Old Trafford next season, Ten Hag replied: "Yes, but I will not say he will always be my number one because in a club like United there must be competition in all positions." United play Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Sunday with the hope of denying their city rivals' bid to match the Treble won by Sir Alex Ferguson's team in 1999.

Anthony Martial: Manchester United forward to miss FA Cup final against Manchester City..ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/1259B/production/_129936157_gettyimages-1252272372.jpgManchester United forward Anthony Martial will miss Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City with a hamstring injury. The France international sustained the injury in Sunday's 2-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford. Tests revealed the 27-year-old had suffered a muscle tear, the club confirmed on Tuesday. Victory for United on Saturday would secure a domestic double for the club, having won the League Cup in February. A win would also deny their city rivals' bid to match the Treble won by Sir Alex Ferguson's United in 1999, with Premier League champions City also playing in next month's Champions League final. In an injury-hit campaign, Martial scored six goals and made two assists in 21 Premier League matches this season. United also had injury concerns over winger Antony, after he was taken off on a stretcher in tears in the 4-1 win over Chelsea. However, manager Erik ten Hag said on Sunday that the 23-year-old Brazilian will "probably" recover from his ankle injury in time for Saturday's final.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/976/cpsprodpb/C9CF/production/_129936615_1wedmirror.jpgErik ten Hag drops biggest hint yet Mason Greenwood could sensationally STAY at Man Utd as talks over future continue..by Anthony Chapman. We also told you that Juventus are ready to offer the 21-year-old a fresh start in Italy alongside former teammate Paul Pogba. But Ten Hag has now hinted that Greenwood could yet have a future at Old Trafford. Speaking to the Times, the Dutch boss was asked whether he needs another striker to help out top scorer Marcus Rashford. Talk then turned to Greenwood, who hit 36 goals in 130 games for United. And Ten Hag said: “[He] showed in the past that he is capable of doing that.” But the tactician made it clear that Greenwood’s future is not up to him. Referring to what he wants up front, Ten Hag explained: “What we need besides Marcus Rashford is one extra player with scoring abilities whether it’s coming out of our own squad or we have to sign one.” As for Rashford's incredible transformation, Ten Hag added: “What I have done? He’s a good football player, incredibly good and his finishing attributes are high. “So, first of all, I make a culture where he can perform. Then I get him motivated and then construct a way of play where he can do it. "And fitness, as well, don’t forget that part. When those four aspects are there Marcus Rashford will score. “He can play as a centre forward, can play from the left, can play from the right. When you see his stats, he is scoring everywhere but he feels more comfortable as a centre forward or from the left.”
