Does anyone know when we are going to sign some quality players that will take us onwards in Div 1 and beyond. Why we are resigning a lot of these very average Div 2 players beats me especially now we have financial clout. DC will have to do better than this i feel.

Sorry Nailsea I couldnt disagree more. It is vital in my view that we get a top league manager in soon or perhaps at the end of the season. On the assumption that a considerable amount will be put into the playing side we need an experinced person at the helm. Someone who could attract much much better players than we have seen in recent years and develop them into a winning team. Being a bit blunt I suppose but I will be surprised if many of the current squad will be around in a years time. Hopefully there are very different and much better times ahead and I just cannot see Daryl being the man to clear the decks and rebuild the team. Garry Monk anybody (JOKE).

Fair play a good performance today. Why cant we play like that more often. Anyway a few more performances like that then even I might change my mind about DC. Taylor is an enigma. He could be a first class forward but something seems to hold him back more often than not. No doubt Marcus is coaching him so I hope he will continue to improve. He certainly has a good football brain and may well turn into quite a star for us. Glad Lines is back as he is far and away our classiest player and when he is at the top of his game the team seems to be as well. All in all quite a turnaround from last week and long may it continue. Does anybody know the Div 2 playoff Final date !!

Blimey im heartened to see im not the lone voice I seem to be most of the time. I dont think this Forum is generally in tune with the majority of Gasheads as I know only one who thinks DC is alright. This club must change and soon. I believe a football club is only as good as its Manager and we have a very poor one at the moment. There cant be another club that would put up with the endless list of humilliating resuts we have had over the past 18 months and that reflects on the equally poor Board we have to suffer at the present. Sunday was an utter disgrace and it must be clear to DC himself that he cant do this job. We need an experienced League 1 or 2 Manager currently in work whose up to speed to sort this mess of a team out in time for next season. As Gasheads we should be much more vocal in our protests and demand change. My one hope is my gut feeling that Higgs & Co have had enough of D C and its more a question of when rather than if. If I am right now would be a very good time for the new Manager to come in. I hope they dont leave it to the next humilliation or when we are near the bottom of the League. As the television reporter said on sunday we are a team with phemnominal support. We deserve and should demand better.

Totally out of his depth. I hope The Board will now do the right thing and send him on his way. This bloke has been a disaster for my club. We are a laughing stock and not for the first time. Its just one humiliating result after another. Unable to get a goalscorer after 18 months just shocking. It will take some time to recover from his time as Manager but it will be well worth the wait. I am so angry that this state of affairs has been allowed to go on for so long. This is the worst team in our history which must be rectified sooner rather than later.

Never in thr 60 odd years I have been supporting the Gas have we had such a poor team and poor manager supported by so many. Very very strange.

Fair comments but DC has had plenty of time to bring in better players but he hasn't done so. Of all his signings name one really good one excluding Lines. Hard isn't it. Steve K comments on his very negative body language in the dugout which was plain to see at the Oxford game. I feel that he is struggling at this level and can't see the situation improving unfortunately. I don't know what the answer is but it's going to be a difficult season if things stay as they are. Only joking about GJ but I wouldn't say no to Tisdale

Is Clarke being found out at last ? I believe he is. His total inability to bring quality players in is now threatening our season. I know most on here have a love_in with Darryl but I fear he has gone as far as he is able. The players he inherited plus a bit of luck has got him this far. Some antics have endeared him to most of you. Is he a manager to take us on from here. I think not. I know I'm a lone voice but I bet I'm right. I see GJ is slowly turning Cheltenham around. Taxi !

Okay I will be the one dissenting voice. I agree DC should have some monetary reward for taking us back up after he took us down. However I am convinced that it was the players he inherited plus Lines (I'm sure DC wasn't the one to bring him to the club) that really got us up. I give him full credit for getting the team spirit back again but will this be enough for div 2? Does he have the wherewithall to bring better players into the club.I really hope he does but I've seen little evidence of it so far.

As a fierce critic of Darryl Clarke all season I must say well done to him for getting the Gas to the playoffs. In the last three games we have looked a different team. Could it be Lines that makes the differences. Having seen Grimsby twice this week i don't think we have to much to worry about. Promotion is there for the taking. Perhaps demanding better did work !

Today's performance at Macclesfield proved showed or confirmed what I have thought since the start of the season that Darryl Clarke is out of his depth as manager of Bristol Rovers. This squad isn't very strong even in a poor standard of football which the Conference is. However Alfreton's superb equaliser gives us a chance. It's now a sprint to the finish and we must win all five games and even that probably won't be enough but it might be. Watching the game today I couldn't work out what our game plan was and assume we didn't have one. We certainly didn't play with much conviction and to me we didn't want it enough. Our manager looked frightened stiff with little direction from the touchline . We can't sign anymore players so we must make the best of what we have. I have zero confidence that Darryl can or knows how to do that. Both players and supporters need a boost. Living on the outskirts of Bristol is one of if not the best lower league managers of recent times. I feel absolutely sure that he would love to manage the sleeping giant which is Bristol Rovers. I say bring him in now in some capacity. He would have the respect of the players and supporters alike. He would organise them and motivate them for the task ahead. Now I accept that he still might not be able to get us to top spot but then let's turn to the playoffs.Gary has a huge amount of experience of playoff games and finals. What better person could there be to prepare and organise us. Just think for a minute who would you rather have organising us in the dugout at Wembley Gary or Darryl. It's a no brainer isn't it and a frightening choice. Furthermore who do you think the managers of the other playoff contenders would rather see in our Dugout ! So come on the Board of Directors get Gary Johnson in now and give us a good chance. I know I would not want Darryl here another season and just know Gary would get us back in Div 1 sooner than anybody else I can think of. Not an argument for appointing Gary Johnson but I know for a fact that Yeovil supporters are more worried about him coming to us than being relegated. Rather nice that !

Come on let's be more positive.Hmm.............nice yellow kit uh....We got a point and um well parkes didn't get sent off. Actually Gas have not progressed one bit from the first game Grimsby at home. We still need a creative midfielder a proper winger and two strikers. Obviously our non league manager hasn't realised that yet and we have to be satisfied with a Salisbury City player just when we need a bit of quality. Why do you all put up with this. This is a very very poor Rovers team . Somebody must take over the playing side of this once proud club whether we go up or not. 5 more games with Clarke here is enough for me. The best of a poor squad were those already here before Clarke took over.No. arguments about that is there. Says everything. Gary we are waiting !

Well Clarke is consistent with the standard of HIS signings over the past year. How much longer must we put up with this. Demand better than this Gas heads.

Actually Topper my answer to the question you pose is yes. Let's forget everything that has happened while we are in this dreadful division. It is meaningless and embarrassing. This is a dreadful standard of football . Let's get away from this Conference non league culture. I heard our non league manager crowing on about 17games unbeaten. Really well how many have been draws. Far too many. We should have walked this division this season and we would have done with a much more experienced manager. As it is its going to be a struggle to win the league. Demand better we are Bristol Rovers not Alfreton Town.

Who honestly thinks Clarke will get a creative midfielder who is worthy of the name? We have needed one for months so now our non league manager says he won't be panicked into a loan signing. Give me strength !! Demand better Gas heads we are Bristol Rovers.

So its mighty Altrincham tomorrow going for the double over us. Must comment that many seem to think it will be a struggle. Now that doesn't really equate to all the stick I get when I express my views about this team and manager. Funny that. For me it should be 4-0 tomorrow. We are Bristol Rovers we have crowds of 6-7000. We are full timers. They get about a thousand and I think are part timers. Good luck tomorrow. Demand better Gas heads.
