So I interpret we are still playing badly.....and still picking up results. Frustrating for the GC burning pitchfork brigade I guess (which I consider myself an honourary member).
But seriously what do you do with a side that is;
1)almost universally recognised as playing uninspiring stuff, has fundamental issues with squad balance and quality and a manager who lartge part of the fanbase (at best) doesn't seem to have taken to very well?
but also......
2)keeps picking up results which on paper suggest we are currently experiencing our most successful season in nearly 20 years?
I have found this season baffling on about every level.
I guess fans will just continue doing what a growing number seem to be, enjoying the good results whilst choosing to give the dross football a miss.

Clarke-Harris could pull two crackers out of the bag like that with what is apparently his "weaker" foot is beyond me. JCH is left-footed.

Padstow, you always have something negative to say when I post. I’ve seen the pattern emerge - do you have an issue with me? Would you like to resolve this in a grown up manner? Grow up and smell the coffee.referees make decisions so why is it that whenever rovers lose it is always the officialstell you what if that is a threat then to make it an even fight I will send my father he is in his 70s hut an ex pro boxer who won an aba title in the 60s

Not sure his success in L1 with City is any indication he’s the right to man to get us out of this mess - they had one of the highest budgets in the division (if only!)
I joined in with all the anti-Cotterill chanting yesterday because, having met the bloke on a number of occasions, he is a prize tw*t.

A very good friend of mine is big Salop fan. If its Salop hes all over it. This is the unadulterated question and answer session, for you to make of what you will. Emperor: Are you seriously going to sell your top scorer from last season to us? Mr Salop: Why not – everyone else from last season has gone!!! Seriously if the rumours are true that you are going to pay in the region of £200K for him – then I would snap your hands off!! If you look at the STFC fans message board – there are as many glad to see him go as stay!! Scored fourteen (a substantial percentage of which was penalties) but never really looked the real deal – indeed towards the end of the season he ended up on the subs bench (including the playoff final). Depends who we bring in – suspect our manager has someone lined up (well I hope he has!!) Without me leading your opinion, which I don’t wish to do, the fact his goals were penalties make a difference in your view of him? It does me as that’s not very much from open play in a side that is flying. Just had a check, and 2 of his 14 goals last season were penalties? Wouldn’t call that a “substantial amount” myself.

Maybe now play sercombe a bit further forward to get at least 20 goals out of him. He is one of the few natural goalscorers we have at the moment. ‘At least’ 20 goals from Sercombe?! Crikey. Never hurts to set your goals high I suppose.

Every club in world football is a ‘selling club’, other than potentially Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona & Real Madrid. Yeah - that's why the sh*t turned down good bids for Aden Flint. Because they have owners who are willing to invest and take losses. We don't. Will we re-invest the Bodin proceeds? Will we f*ck. We turned down a bid for Bodin in the summer - but the club obviously feel that now is the right time to cash in. I suppose every player has their price when A) They want out and B) They only have 6 months left on their contact. And yes, I do think that the Bodin money will be reinvested in the squad. We’ll see. Will be an interesting month.

We are still a selling Club. Al-Qadis won't invest a f******g penny until we have a "sound business case for investment". Wael doesn't have a sound business case. The pathetic "news" about the Colony is an equally pathetic attempt to divert attention from the current predicament. Good luck Billy. Every club in world football is a ‘selling club’, other than potentially Manchester City, PSG, Barcelona & Real Madrid.

I was brought up on appearances goals so all the assist stuff is total rubbish to me,its a team game and the teams that win most win leagues simple as that. Danny leadbitter is often slated for his erratic crossing but strangely when he hits a good one its often very low and at pace and easy to attack so its not all bad on crosses with danny imo. Im sure others are into miles ran and assists and of course some clubs are using this data but i think its crap. Cracking 'Yer Da' post, this.

Knew it was going to be a bad day, soon as that f******g mongoloid couldn't keep his mouth shut during a minutes silence. & the guy who does the 'out of ten' better not give our support any more than 3. Easily one of the worst Rovers away ends I've ever been unfortunate enough to be involved in. Give me the crammed tiny terrace any day of the week, that today was the pits. Bang on. If our 'support' at UWE is anything like it was today then I'll give the home matches a miss. Allocated seating totally killed that. Dire.

Day to forget.

I for one will find it hard to sit down for 90 minutes no chance proper seat no problem if we can stand at Portsmouth then why not at Coventry you cannot make somebody sit when they don't want to it isn't the law. Well, if you stand up in front of me and block my view you will feel my wrath believe me. Now when we are attacking or score that would be acceptable as long as you sit down again afterwards. And who said the fun has gone out of watching football?!

All these changes are a concern long term ask any football pundit listen to talk sport dean Saunders for example no other manager in the football league is adopting this approach Clarke is spoilt for choice for the first time in his managerial career most teams at this level and beyond have big squads that doesn't mean you have to keep rotating them if it was that simple every team would be doing it and they're not just hope common sense prevails and we can get back on track we deserve to be in a playoff position not mid table mediocrity. What an odd thing to say.

Why not give him a chance? Just a chance.. ?? Gos contributed in last few matches last season. Came on up at York and helped change it, and was one of the contributors in the build up for Browner's left foot.. I like him. Marcus obviously seen something to bring him here, and he is still young and developing. Shame on you, man!

I'd go...
___________Mildenhall Leadbitter_Lockyer_Hartley_Brown ______________Mansell ________Sinclair_______Lines __Bodin________Taylor______Moore
...mainly because I'm not convinced we have a strong enough midfield duo at this level to play 4-4-2.
But if we were to sign a strong defensive midfielder to play next to Lines, I'd stick with 4-4-2.

Innocent until PROVEN guilty therefore get on with your lives and support ALL signings instead of 4 pages of absolute crap. Sorry to be pedantic, but 'innocent UNLESS proven guilty'. Big difference!

DC isn't a mug - he knows a manager lives and dies by his recruitment and won't have made this signing without some serious thought and research.
We have a lot of hardworking players in the squad, but it's the likes of Lines and Montano who have the potential to unlock doors and make the difference in tight games.
Yes it's a slight gamble, but one worth taking IMO. I have faith that DC will be able to manage him, and it sounds as if previous manager references have been very complimentary about him.
And at the end of the day, he's an innocent man. It's not like we're signing Lee Hughes here.
