Unfortunately he couldn’t improve them.As I say the rot had already set in with Tisdale taking 5 points from the previous 10 games. In my opinion B*****’s Bristol Rovers started the 21-22 season. But hang on, how many times have teams had new managers and kicked on. We, as fans, always dread playing a team that has just sacked their manager and a new one appointed? And how many of B*****'s supporters say what a good motivator he is! I remember at the time many of us being bewildered at how he seemed to sit back and let them carry on as they did with Tisdale. People can't have it both ways. I remember being gutted at the all round lackadaisical attitude of team and manager. Garner should have been given the full season. It was his players (mostly) and they were at least trying to play for him.

. Ungracious feels a bit harsh. I'm just stating my interpretation of what I saw. He's hasn't been as solid as last year and had a shocker yesterday. Still a decent keeper and jolly decent fellow by all accounts. My apologies as I was talking in general and not at you. We both know the majority do not use any forum. Just feel really quite sick that a GK who has been getting plaudits and MOTM, can be turned on and with such venom. I don’t know about you or your private thoughts so , again, my apologies if taken personally. I wrote after reading a load of abusive posts and sometimes it gets the better of me. Wishing you and all Rovers a very happy new year. Feel bad now That’s just representative of todays social media. Arsenal Tv demonstrates how a platform with viewers simply attracts opinions seeking to provoke to get attention. Same with the Belly comments post- Exeter. He’s been supper. Since day 1 - brilliant player, love watching him.

I’m one of those ‘silent contributors’. I prefer this forum over gaschat for many reasons but only rarely write something as I am overseas therefore have less insight than others.
Some of the posts are thought provoking.
Perhaps I will ‘like’ more posts in the future so that contributors know the room is greater than just a few.

Are you a dentist? This is like pulling teeth. It wouldn't stop me watching Rovers if that's what you're after. Thanks Doc, it's an honest answer and one which I expected. Dentistry is only a hobby for me so I don't take it that seriously and never waste money on things like anaesthetic ! I agree with chewbacca's post that the majority will keep attending and supporting the team, the manager and the beneficial owner no matter who they are. But by now you know by heart the point I'm going to make . . . . nothing will change at Rovers so long as Gasheads unquestionably accept whatever they are told. The next few months will be interesting and I'm wondering whether, when the dust has settled, we will again be told "there was no alternative" when in fact there are plenty of alternatives which would be better for Rovers but not so good for the manager or owner. The supporters of premier league clubs haven’t left following takeovers or involvement of questionable owners. Therefore I doubt our supporters will suddenly adopt an ethical stance by staying at home if there is a questionable source of investment in the club.

A lot of speculation about Scott Sinclair on the other forum.
Regardless of who joins the recruitment strategy doesn’t seem to be as lucky or as well executed as last season.
But B***** is a motivator and they are nearly all his players. He should at least get them giving their all.

I need some help with the ticket purchasing process through the main website. I've bought four tickets to the Blackthorne End for Saturday's game. However, each ticket only cost ten pounds according to ticket master. Is the 10 pounds paid an admin fee or typo from Ticketmaster? Has anyone else had similar experiences? Cheers Rick I understand that is the price for the match, along with £1 for kids. The cynic in me thinks this is just as well after the sh*tshow we had to endure against Shrewsbury [Cheating] Town and our inability to deal effectively with them and the officials. Thank you Bamber. I couldn’t see any notice or explanation when I bought the tickets. But this is a nice bonus if it’s just £10 per ticket

I remember also choosing to research the opinions of rovers and city fans in 1994 when I was 14. Thankfully both clubs were very approachable and the supporters interviewed enabled me to collect survey results.
Absolutely no need to be that harsh and rude Toni Basel.
Out of interest my results proved unequivocally that city fans had lower IQs, larger foreheads and were more likely to watch Noel’s House Party than the average Gashead.

We’re definitely 2 or 3 players short. Let’s hope B*****’s black book of scouser footballers unearths a few more game changers.

The Mural

Why is the owner on the mural, he has never played a game for Rovers, yet he shares a place on the bog wall with difficult to identify former hero's. Did the owner commission the mural, the guy does come across as a someone with a massive to be loved identity problem. He's a walking billboard when it comes to selfies, why doesn't he commission a Rovers benefactors mural behind the Thatchers End so we can all remember the contributions the Dunford family made and Higgs did to keep the club afloat for all of us to continue to support. And on reading the Pravada Chat board, his best mate is telling us that the FM isn't going to happen and the ROI on a redeveloped Mem doesn't make sense even though he's not in ITK, but, his hero has only been properly in charge for two years and two months and we need to be patient to give him a chance. I suppose when your losing £80,000 a week you have every right to control all opinions surrounding the club, through whatever social media channels, but hang on a minute, his maverick managerial appointment wants 6 or 7 new players in before September 1. There could me trouble ahead, but lets face the music and dance ! Bristol has a recent history of replacing statues or murals that no longer fit the narrative. I hope we all look back in a few years and are able to praise the Wael era for great success on and off the pitch.

Mate of mine is a Pompey fan, he says Marquis works hard but first touch and finishing is woeful. Hard to see why we’ve signed him. I heard he had a decent peg.

Having now eaten the Aussie meat pie for 8 years (a pastry filed with gravy and the occasional rainbow-drop sized morsel of chewy beef cartilage) gasheads are so lucky to have proper Cornish pasties all year round.
I thought the fanzone was a great addition to the ground given the limitation of space.
I would love there to be a scotch egg option made available next time. Maybe even bricks of bread pudding and a selection of biltong. Just think of the gas.

www.football365.com/news/who-ate-pies-football-food-bento-box-deep-fried-whitebait-john-nicholson“Bristol Rovers, a club that has revamped and invested in its catering facilities sell this tasty-looking plate…” “So many clubs all over the world manage to sell proper food that is quick to make from scratch and easy to eat while you’re watching the game. Lower-league clubs like Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers and many more, are showing the way, because they know there is a good profit to be made in selling good food and have taken a progressive attitude to providing it. It just makes good business sense.”

His club is Colorado Rapids - crowds of c15,000 for last few games. He joins Danny Wilson (player), Neil Emblem (coach), Wolde Harris (Championship Manager legend) and Stan Kroenke (owner). Other site reports that he’s on $370,000 USD

Congratulations to JCH on his call up to Jamaica following in the footsteps of Sir Barry Hayles.
I wonder if this triggers any more money from Posh?

Good spot Jeff. Skybet Betfair B***** 4/5 11/8 Kompany 4/1 11/4 Wilder 6/1 5/2 Rooney 7/1 7/2 12/1 bar these. One of the considerations is whether any interested club will accept the overall model of B***** and associates. A better bet is Ukraine to win the Eurovision this Saturday at 1/2. If I was Wael I'd put $10m on this to win $5m instantly back to then fund next season's transfer budget. Where’s my commission Wael?
