A City supporting friend whom I've known since schooldays has sent me this picture with a couple of caustic comments and a great big smiley face emoji. It's one thing putting up with the squalor and accepting "we are where we are" but why do we seem to get a kick out of drawing attention to it ?

It could have been worse, it could have been painted like this season’s city’s goalkeepers shirts .

I'm not commenting on the mural itself but on the fact that it draws attention to the state of the two doors in the picture.
But perhaps this level of care and maintenance is quite acceptable now ?

I really think you need to find something worthwhile to moan about,like....are your laces undone, something like that.. put a bit of gusto into it ,just to emphasise how serious it is..🔨🔨🔨

Will we receive royalties when Premier League clubs start installing these ?

I reckon 90% of Gasheads wouldn't even let the door of their garden shed get into that state Bas. But someone allowed the mural to go there knowing it would attract attention and that people would take pictures showing just how badly the infrastructure has been allowed to deteriorate. The time for a lick of paint would have been before it was put there but thinking ahead is not part of Rovers new DNA.

The state of those doors does not suggest professionalism.

View AttachmentCould have easily sprayed the doors whilst there For longevity they'll need a proper sanding down, cleaning, and probably some filler, before being painted with appropriate material. A quick spray by a street artist, and they'd be back to looking like they are now after a couple of games.

While I appreciate your views and constant moaning about something as trivial as unpainted doors ,the club I get, imaginary or otherwise does not receive my money while the current manager is in position , so that's a fail for you Let's face it LIS most Gasheads don't want to seriously discuss any topic whether it's decrepit doors or a new stadium if there is any possibility it will show the leadership of the club in a bad light. The leading question for me is why fans have a greater allegiance to the leadership than the club itself. This is not a new phenomenon because in the Higgs era the SC and the PC led the way in aggressively backing the owner when they must have known he was taking the club in the wrong direction. And now we have those like ITB who are close to the present owner quite openly talking about "his money and his legacy" and making claims that the redevelopment of the Mem is unviable without anyone having the courage to say to them "OK, show us the figures".

To turn that on it's head, there are also some people who don't seem to be interested in discussing the team, or the football. Horses for courses I suppose. I've always been primarily tuned in to what happens on the pitch, as that's where my entertainment comes from. Fair play to others who delve more deeply into the background stuff, if that's their main focus.

Good grief Swiss. I hope you're ok, genuinely, because you seem mightily upset about the most minute of minutiae just now.
Enjoy the next week Brother, as we have football to watch soon.
