Is it any coincidence that this Forum seems to have died a death since the banning of certain posters ?

Is it any coincidence that this Forum seems to have died a death since the banning of certain posters ? It's dying anyway. The same cyclical discussions and no longer any fun.

It’s the quality, not the quantity!. And therefore perhaps, that is the problem ? ;-)

This forum is notable for its diversity of members, some of you go into great detail, others are constantly involved and me I am one of the funny b*****ds.
But no matter what, we see so many brilliant posts and iam sure that at the time, we think that’s a really good contribution. Yet, can any of us be bothered to respond or even press the ‘like’ button
Liking each other’s posts should be the rule rather than the exception, it would encourage interaction and increase traffic.
So there you are press the f**king button please!

The number of people posting has reduced for many reasons For some, like the good Doctor, the fun went out of it with much of the early pleasant banter and [kinder] mickey taking disappearing. The level of aggression in some of the posting caused others to leave. The inability of some to accept that others might have different opinions and attacking the poster rather than the post also hasn't helped. Finally the lack of action off the field with regard to the stadium, our return to where we were in the League and the mixed results recently have led to less to discuss.
Perhaps some new signings in the window and a push for promotion will reinvigorate the forum.

I’m one of those ‘silent contributors’. I prefer this forum over gaschat for many reasons but only rarely write something as I am overseas therefore have less insight than others.
Some of the posts are thought provoking.
Perhaps I will ‘like’ more posts in the future so that contributors know the room is greater than just a few.

Sadly won't be there Sat as I am watching Colyton away at Lyme Regis.Dramatic cliff top ground.2.15 KO with no lights and volunteer linesmen. Amazed how sides down here like Sidmouth have three teams and a remote village like Farway, pop about 200 has a team.Beer Albion have a really scenic ground.Richard Walker and sons heavily involved there.Love it.

Thanks for sending me down memory lane Colyton. 50 years ago I played against Farway, Stockland (home of the mast) and on many of those east Devon grounds both cricket and football. Farway was a great place to play cricket. East Devon was always that little corner of England that time almost missed, away from motorways, no major N-S routes, just the E-W main road. Happy days. UTG!

What level in the pyramid is that? I'm presuming below 11 as there's no floodlights... or linesmen. Been watching a lot of grass roots football since Feb 2021, thoroughly enjoy it. Only one game below tier 11 for me - Old Brentwoods vs Old Carthusians in the Arthurian League.
