Whats the betting, Bliss now goes and scores 8 goals in 6 game and is MOM every match I`d imagine, about the same as Elvis Presley appearing in panto at the Hippodrome this Christmas.

Trouble is that our board are not giving DC the finding. I had a feeling this would be a mid table season, if lucky, as we have a small squad and injuries will play a part. I think you are right BTW. I really feel like giving up right now. I just feel that I can't handle the stuff with the board plus seeing a decent young manager struggle to make square pegs fit round holes. It's been a long time since I felt like this & I feel kind of guilty for feeling this way. Fact is I am not getting any pleasure from going and I am once again feeling uptight and frustrated. I hope I snap out of this. i dont feel like giving up,i just feel were not good enough to carry players and believe we are with lines and easter,,for me they should be blazing a trail for less talented players to follow but instead are dragging us down and not pulling there weight which im fed up about Are you sure you`ve chosen the right forum name for yourself, Mr Bluesky? You don`t seem very sunny. I agree with you, however; especially about Easter. What a waste of wages. Compare his performance last night with Taylor`s, they were worlds apart. Doesn`t score, can`t hold the ball up and makes no attempt to win it in the air. How did we ever end up with him and Blissett in our squad?

It was. It was even lower than Andy Fairweather.

We had the possession and chances to win the game, but we can`t put the ball in the net. We desperately need a target man to play alongside Taylor. We kept pumping the ball into their box, but we could have done that until midnight and we wouldn`t have scored. It was just too easy for them to head the ball away. Easter`s attempt to score when one on one with the keeper, summed up his performance. Pitiful. I know people defend him after every game, but all I see is a journeyman footballer happy to pick up one last paycheck. A very poor buy. It's even worse than that Bernard, all Easter had to do was square the ball and it was a tap-in, instead he hit a shot that would draw laughs on the Downs. Whether the keeper got a touch or not isn't important, his next touch should have been picking it out of the net. When you look at the length of his contract, my heart sinks.

That striker who is the only one scoring this season, ran himself into the ground tonight, Taylor was the only one in quarters who could hold his head high, Midfield was utterly shocking, Sinclair & lines were abysmal alongside eachother, beard gifting them the first goal & giving them all the time they needed for the second. Never play them together again. Cheeeers A bit harsh. With a decent player alongside Taylor up front, I think we would have won the game. We certainly wouldn`t have lost it.

Six home defeats in nine matches shows we are just not good enough at either end. There is no chance of us mounting any sort of challenge for a play-off place as we are clearly not good enough. This was Stevenage's first away win of the season - says to all really about our season and the team generally - can't break teams down at home and any goals we concede mean we lose. We are more likely to be in the bottom seven come the end of the season than the top seven. We had the possession and chances to win the game, but we can`t put the ball in the net. We desperately need a target man to play alongside Taylor. We kept pumping the ball into their box, but we could have done that until midnight and we wouldn`t have scored. Shhhhh..... Don't ask awkward questions. Be very interesting to see how much over and above what can be secured as a loan against the stadium Nick and the other directors are to prepared to finance themselves. The fact we took out the wonga loan in the first place, have since tired to, or have already have, extended it further suggests they aren't prepared to put anymore finance into the club? With GoD & RK gone, BB not getting any younger and CJ seemingly happy to stand on the side lines, EW probably not wealthy enough, then unless NH is prepared to fund more loans you sense that's it for present BoD? We`re FKd.

Or get Sinclair to teach them how to jump higher as he doesn't seem to have any problems against the taller players! Taylor doesn't either generally That`s not true at all. If you go tonight, watch him for 90 minutes.

So, was Nick aware of the existence of any of these groups when he seemed to be suggesting that he didn't know who they were? Seems like you've suddenly decided to start believing what NH says. Who says a leopard can't change it spots. Was it David Attenborough?

As Interim Champ, it was only right Lee was upgraded when Caballero came in so far over As for a Catchweight fight what would have been the point and could well have damaged Haskins going forward had he agreed and lost There was never any possibility of this happening. No manager worth his salt, would have agreed to it. I suppose his management figure that the sort of money Haskins can now command, will more than compensate for the money he`s lost. It is a strange one. Caballero wouldn`t even have made it into the next weight division up, super bantamweight. He`d be better off carrying on training the same way for six months, then having a fight with Tyson Fury.

Stop it, you can't tell the truth on here! Not sure it was all greed, but the line about ''needing'' a new stadium to secure the future of the club was something I could never quite understand. Unless we've made efforts to maximise the income from the existing facility, and then had a long term plan for the FC's finances, how can anyone demonstrate that a new stadium is ''needed''? It all had a taste of a gambler who loses every week but is convinced in his own head that it only he could raise more stake money then he just knew he would win. As for your last sentence, utter tosh, when Sainsbury's are forced to hand over £30m and the new shop is built there will be a community pin board in the foyer, a community hut somewhere in the car park (I know several people who work with local youth clubs, community groups etc, none of them know anything about this community facility) and don't you remember, people are going to shop there then walk half a mile down the road to browse and spend in the local independents?l Absolutely. It's used as an excuse not to do the work now. Take that mindset to UWE and we'll just fail to maximise even more income. Whether or not UWE ever happens (seting that variable to zero in this equation), why not change that mindset now? I'm old enough to remember decades of 'if only we had a ground of our own'. We've got a ground, a significant and loyal fan base, and a huge local population that might be drawn in, all the best assets a club could have, and all ignored in favour of a rousing chorus of 'somewhere over the rainbow'. Sums it up perfectly for me.

Went to bed weighing 119lbs, and woke up weighing 123. About as likely as Nobby spending the night with a woman. And then Caballero wanted to fight Haskins at catchweight, ( let me guess.. 123lbs ). I bet Sanigar couldn`t believe what he was hearing. Oh, well, hopefully Haskins has a ticket for the Cotto/Alvarez fight. That should be a good un. The whole business doesn't ring true, and I'm just wondering whether Caballero had fully recovered from his ankle injury and was actually fit enough to fight. That's a more credible reason for withdrawing than putting on four pounds overnight, and then refusing to attempt to lose the weight. But doesn't it strike you as unfair that Lee Haskins, who has done nothing wrong in the run-up to the fight, has little chance of getting his hands on any of his purse? Doesn't the fact that he has accrued expenses in his preparation for the fight (trainers, sparring partners, travelling expenses, hotel accommodation for all and sundry, etc) count for anything at all? It seems unfair to me that he should have to forfeit his purse just because he refused to accept a catchweight fight. Agree absolutely. The point of a catchweight contest, is that BOTH boxers agree to a certain weight BEFORE the weigh in. To have done what Caballero wanted, would have been to make a mockery of the whole prefight procedure. Haskins did everything by the book, and the promoters should pay him his agreed purse. If they`re unhappy about it, they should sue Caballero for their money back.

Maybe, but I feel more confident in us under Clarke and at.least feel we are trying to build something on the field and at least have a manager who is hungry and trying to go somewhere You do you realise you've lost at home to Chesham Utd and just lost to Crawley Town right?! Your rose tinted glasses wearing view is admirable but to say that's building something, fk me I would love to see what you're building? It seems like it's made of sand mate. First stage of rebuilding is admitting reality. Shouldn't you be picking your mother up from Stapleton Road? She must be getting cold, standing around on that street corner since five this morning.

Touche. But I'm no spring chicken myself and I definitely pay for my own groceries. The tone of my post wasn't meant to be personal but it reflects my irritation at people mocking those who choose to boycott Sainsburys. It won't hurt them financially but if it gained momentum and attracted publicity it could hurt them reputationally. As long as there is a glimmer of hope, protest isn't entirely futile. Touché to you, it's all a bit tongue in cheek, if I knew you I'm sure I'd be proud to be your mate. Protest is fine as long as it's justified, ours isn't because Sainsburys has done nothing wrong legally and I always find it a but rich when anything football related attempts to mount the moral high horse. True enough, Mentors. Where are the morals in any of this? We entered into a tawdry arrangement with Sainsburys, to demolish a stadium that exists to perpetuate the name of men killed in WW1. Short of knocking down the cenotaph on the centre, and replacing it with a Costa Coffee, I don`t see how either party could have acted less morally. But life is what it is, and I`ll continue shopping in Sainsbury`s, and watching Bristol Rovers.

i thought it was a very poor speech... when you start mentioning god, what we shouldnt surrender to etc. He shouldnt be giving us a speech on theology and politics. But i will put it down to emotion And I disagree entirely. I thought it was a brilliant speech. Not ashamed to say that I felt quite emotional myself.

The most sensible and unbiased words, anybody`s written about the whole sorry saga. Rovers have tried to do it with players before and even wanted to change the sainsburys contract themselves as we hear in the trial Of course Rovers have been hard done by as that is the story the club want to paint, rather than getting mixed up in a business deal beyond us and our legals capabilities Absolutely. We laid down with dogs and we got fleas. If this had happened to City rather than us, all the outraged malcontents on here, whose lives begin and end with eleven men kicking a ball about, would be gleefully spending every penny they could in Sainsbury`s.

Shame on you. I have not shopped in S****burys since they reneged on the contract. We're the least of Sainsbury's problems. They couldn't give less of a s*** about you. Also, any big business with shareholders would do the same if it meant salvaging money. If Rovers were in a position where there was a choice between doing something we'd agreed to do but would lose us huge amounts of money vs. weaselling out of it, everyone here would be screaming for them to weasel out of it. The most sensible and unbiased words, anybody`s written about the whole sorry saga.
