So I guess this means DC plans on being here next season regardless of the outcome of Sunday's game?? That's definitely what he told me in the Vic last week

I think a part from PeterHooper people are falling into the trap of thinking as we've had a good season in the Conference we are assuming they are all good players. In Puddy's case he's hardly been put under any pressure in the last 10 games, if (the big if) we go up then we won't have that easy ride. DC will face some big decisions.

I think it is cruel and unfair to take the piss out of vulnerable, drunken middle aged men. Or highly amusing. Who was the middle aged man?

Which teams were in the final? Result? Just got back Dings(no one like us we don't care) 26 Cleve (ever so slightly more likeable than Avonmouth and The village team from Henbury) 12
19-0 at half time, so to be fair Cleve did come back a bit. A new local derby for next season!
Have you paid Dave yet?

Why not join me at the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand at 10am next Thursday. You're the Judge? My confidence has just increased a notch

Good to see the club still supporting local rugby & continuing to host the Combination Cup Final with a good crowd in attendance.
For those interested one dirty horrible club beat the other horrible club. Drinks on Rex.

Right 12.45, there are NO seats of two/ three together left in the whole of the Bristol Rovers end. The girl that dealt with us, after a 45 minute wait said that it had been manic. We had the last "3" together on level 2. Level 1 is completely full; level 2 has some odd seats here and there, and level 5 only has single tickets left. More than 18 thousand I would suggest. Um, booked 6 tickets together on Level 5 at 13:45.

If its an out of court settlement we may never know the amount, as settlements usually have a confidentialality clause in them. I still feel that we will get "something" out of it. I understand that some retired judges have reviewed the case and have advised BRFC to go ahead with the case. You would probably be able to take an educated guess by looking at the next set of accounts.

Seems to be confusion already as a page on FB stated we had sold 18,953 on the 1st of sales Would be surprised if Grimsby only gave shifted 1000 upto now The 18,953 was a wind up, but I'd be surprised if we were not close to that figure by the end of today, with general sales starting tomorrow. The 1000 number for Grimsby came from a report in their local paper - I'd be surprised if that number is not much bigger already. Very poor reception out in the North Sea when you are fighting some Spanish fisherman for the last cod.

CGH - I reckon you'd help a lot of people out if you just drew a cartoon of the aforementioned Mohammed and..................oh, hang on....... Fair comment, but make no mistake, Christian fundamentalists, a lot of them in the USA, are every bit as dangerous. I consider everyone in the US to be dangerous, mainly that's because of lax / non-existent gun controls. Thankfully unless employed by the US government they tend to stick to perpetrating they evil intentions in the US. Unfortunately the evil b'stards within Islam seek to travel more. Shouldn't be long now until a power crazed mod (religion unidentified) locks this thread.

He preferred to call it making love. Lucky us Catholics are thick skinned and not so touchy when people ridicule us wonder what would bre the reaction if you changed Pope to Mohammed and catholic to islam They'd probably blame the victims & stone them to death

To be fair they are trying to trade through quite tough conditions and the marketplace isn't there for expansion like it was 5 years ago when they were still acquiring new sites. I've always been an advocate of us making a big attempt to support Sainsbury's locally in the hope that we could make Bris a more profitable area for the Horfield store, but I've found myself in a very small minority. I've actually got some plans to have one more big go at changing peoples mind on this, on this forum and elsewhere, more info in the next couple of days. youve more chance of shagging the pope Timothy sounds like a young boys name so I wouldn't completely discount that happening in the Catholic church

Do you mean last game of the season 1975 one of my first away games I honestly thought someone was going to get killed that day I was gutted because I missed the coach.....it must have been bad Maff told me that he was worried ! I went to the last game at the Den in 93? that was a good day out,but things had died down by then.
You are right, they only threw the goalposts into our end in 1993.

If I was a mariner I'd be more embarrassed about their celebrations at the end of the match, now that is something which could come back to bite them. Did seem that they were either up or had achieved what they wanted in making the final.

As for motivating the Grimsby players, well if they need motivating before a Wembley final I'd sack the whole lot of them.

Great passion from a top bloke but more importantly a very good football manager. Said at Christmas we should give the bloke a new contract as irrespective of how the season panned out it was clear we finally had someone in charge who was capable of taking us forward. Still concerned that his contract is up in the summer and maybe the board should have been more forward thinking and recognised that we finally had the right man in charge and offered him a new deal 6 months ago. Why take the risk of losing him to another club in the summer. Asked him about the contract situation in the Vic & he said he will be here until he gets us into League 1. Top bloke first time I have spoken to him admitted he wouldn't necessairily have been my choice as manager but he'd turned me around. But very indiscreet about players wages.
