Rovers first pre-season has been announced and we'll be visiting the new Salisbury FC in their first ever game. Lovely touch by Rovers and DC! salisburyfc.co.uk/news/

We might accidentally come home with a new assistant manager.

Would be good if we did the same for Hereford whose fans are trying to get their club off the ground.

Although I agree in principle we also need stretching at pre-season and with Salisbury probably entering the pyramid at Wessex League level and Hereford probably Midlands League (both Western League standard) I think one of these games should suffice.

So I guess this means DC plans on being here next season regardless of the outcome of Sunday's game??

We could be western counties next season if we lose court case and play off final. These 2 clubs are a great example of what the conference think about clubs that go into admin.

This keeps on cropping up, I'm guessing that you mean the BRFC could be placed into Administration? Can you explain why that would happen please?

Simple really our debts would exceed our value/income, should we lose the case we'd be forced to pay our solicitors costs, Sainsbury's solicitors costs plus also pay back the Wonga loan, all on top of the exsisitng debts (£5m+). If NH then decided he wanted out, which happend with the Chairman at Hereford, & possibly Salibury, how would we manage our debts?
The next 7 days could well decide if we have a league/Conference club to support or not come August.

I'd hate to think what sainsburys costs would be if we lose and have to pay their lawyers.

That league doesn't exist for one. I get your point but we would have had to applied by this point as well, the only league I could see us sneaking in if the worst were to happen would be the Hellenic Division One West due to the league only having 15 sides last term. If the worst were to happen it would be Western League Division One in 16-17, though the Southern League would probably bend over backwards to let a club in with a support that would still be over 3,500 a week. Salisbury and Hereford weren't just clubs that went into administration either, they were both absolutely pillaged and set upon. The Conference had no choice but to demote the clubs meaning that new ones rose from the ashes. Salisbury couldn't get in their ground due to the fraudulent actions of Outail Touzar. Similarly Hereford were relegated out of the Conference to the Southern Premier (two steps below us) but couldn't complete the season due to the beastly dealings of Tommy Agombar. I wouldn't hold these two clubs up as examples of where we could be, we've got dreadful owners but Touzar and Agombar are scum and that's why Hereford and Salisbury are reforming.

Chewy. I thought we already had pre season games arranged with an Arsenal 11 and West Brom (Kiteys testimonial)
Also hearing rumours of a game with Wolves.
