Sticking some dosh into an account for the manager to use doesn't need PP. The rest of it; UWE had PP, they let that slip through their fingers and didn't give any kind of explanation that I could understand. The training ground, what Hamer has said so far makes no sense to me so I'm far from hopeful on that front. Now we are supposed to have faith that they are going to develop the existing ground when their build plan is one that every other study has rejected on cost grounds. I'm not sure what faith is exactly, maybe gullibility, maybe believing things on bad evidence, either way, I'm not big on it. I would suggest the explanation for the demise of the UWE is ‘they don’t want to spend any money’ I have no idea, but my gut feeling is that either they couldn't sell the deal to outside investors or the projection was that it wouldn't give them the return they wanted. Maybe these are one and the same thing? If it's the 2nd of those 2, maybe they've bought the wrong club, this isn't Man Utd or Arse where the owners actually make money, this is a lower League club, these cost money to own. Maybe someone should mention this to Hani?

I'm probably with Bamber on this one. It doesn't mean we don't get behind the Al-Qadi family in the meantime. They came in with good intentions. Sadly the UWE stadium didn't happen (for reasons we will probably never know) and now we are in limbo. "Assessing options for re-developing the Mem" - my arse. This equates to breathing space for the owners and radio silence for 6 months or so. I don't think we will be owned by Dwayne Sports in 2 years time, let alone 5. But I have a strong feeling that Wael will still turn up for games. UTG. Wael turning up at some, let's face it, unglamorous places after a less than inspiring start is one of the straws I am clinging to that the AQs are still interested in the club. Any fool can turn up at away games and have a selfie with the fans. I think that’s all we’ll be getting out of Wael from now on.

If you do have twitter then he always replies to the direct message facility & my gut feel is that he wasn’t prepared to have any feelings for the club yet he’s now finding himself conflicted. The facts are none of us really know what is going on or what plans the family have BUT I am positive that they never came into buying the club with thoughts of making profits. I was only discussing that lot down the road with my friend, at Saturdays game and SL only needs one season of prem football & all of his expenditures will be paid back. A part of me would love to see Rovers get to prem level but another part of me knows that we would lose so much in being there. Then again, don’t listen to me as I was one of those odd people who actually enjoyed our time in non league & seeing real football again. As my dear old and lovely dad used to say, be careful what you wish for son

I got seriously peed off when it was publicised when Rooney was on 350K per week but we actually pay much less to our sporting stars than what they do stateside. Personally, I find it vulgar & obscene that people can be homeless & worse yet another get 350K for kicking a football. I try, very hard, not to let it eat at me as it used to. I find all it does is make me sicker.
