I wasn't there today but the radio commentary suggested there was some shenanigans going on in the crowd. Can anyone elaborate?

From gaschat: "Why were PLYMOUTH trying to squeeze 1600 gas heads in too small an area Couldnt believe it when a steward seemed to punch a young Gashead and after a few complaints the Steward was arrested ! The stewarding and organisation was shocking UTG"

Didn't see the punch but STEWARD 61, tall blonde haired smug, in 20s was led away after a second push and shove incident involving stewards, police. Everything seemed to calm down when he was led away (leading me to believe culprit had been found). Disgrace if true, I heard some Gas had it on video, him assaulting a fan.
I thought police marshalled it ok, only brought in after stewards got pushy and shovey.
Everything was party atmos where I was until stewards tried upping the ante by getting heavy handed.
We made some noise and loads of singing different songs. Great atmos and support, brilliant away day!
There is no doubt....we are behind DC and sung his name loud and proud!

Yes watched steward 61 doing his worst today! Certainly a first for me to see a steward removed from a stadium! Also watched the Plymouth fans try and run the gas out of Central Park (behind the stadium ) after the game (better luck next time !!) and then to see the police surrounding the rovers fans and escorting them to the train station with flashing blue lights etc very 1970's - amazing atmosphere UTG!!

Sounds like it was 2-0 to us off the pitch then??!

I thought it might be lively as we haven't visited there place on a Saturday afternoon for at least 10 years. The last few years have been tuesday night games meaning that going by train wasn't an option with no return trains.

If carlsberg did away games then Ellis's last minute header would have bust the net! They don't and it didn't but I'm still buzzing from a great day out !

We went by car that day, but had a few drinks in The Britania before hand without trouble.

We were down, and the subs created more chances than the rest of match put together!! All cheered on by an away day crowd, that was loud and done us proud. We were smiling on way out, great to see so many positives and after a decent performance on the pitch, complemented by a more than decent performance off it, the unity makes you proud to be a GasHead! That's what Saturdays are made for. Let's take the support into next match and beyond..

I think it was partially caused by some of fans arriving almost on kick off time and then not being able to find their seats and decided to stand in the gangways at the back of the stands. Some of our fans then complained that they couldn't see past those who were stood up. Some stewards then tried to get those who were stood to move to seats that were available but without success. Confrontation then erupted between stewards and some of those who were standing in the aisles. Basically it was 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the others scenario culminating in at least one of our supporters being removed from the ground. It was all so unnecessary..... But besides that bit of excitement, I thought our support was extremely good and got behind the team throughout the match, goodness knows what would have happened if Ellis had put that header away....phew !

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but '61' was neither arrested or ejected and spent the second half stood in front of the home fans to the right of the end we were in.

Just hope there'll be a dawn raid soon, then? Publicised on tv and tabloid. Isn't that normal for punches thrown in an away end?? Only fair, innit? Somehow, I dint think so.

As mentioned previously 61 was merely moved to the home end (probably for his own safety) but a large part of the problem was the number of fans that decided to sit in whatever seat they liked forcing other fans to shift about which meant some fans had to go into the stairs leading to the security getting involved.

It felt like they allocated us less seats than tickets sold.i was told to move from the back row of the stand because sitting there breached fire regulations ffs.
Does anyone know the identity of the Gashead who had the run in with Steward61? Might be worth him going to the FSF!

You are missing the point entirely there was no one helping to get fans to the correct seats and not enough seats ! According to PLYMOUTH and BRISTOL Rovers we had sold 1290 tickets but the declared away attendance was just under 1600 !

I reckon the fault lies with people trying to sit in their 'correct' seats. Pointless. Unallocated seating would save a lot of bother. In any case, today the blame lies with the stewards. Heavy handed and looking to cause issues that didn't exist.

According to PLYMOUTH and BRISTOL Rovers we had sold 1290 tickets but the declared away attendance was just under 1600 ! They were seats at the far side, which the stewards explained to the fans and said they would show them, however, the response they received I can't put on here! Number 61 did go over the top, but most were doing there job and I don't know why the fans didn't just go to where they told them to go.

Anyone else see 200 odd rovers fans chasing a load of Plymouth in a park after the game

Stewards did not do their job properly. I didn't sit in my numbered seat as it was occupied, but there were 3-4 sesats near where I was sitting at the front that were vacant the whole game, sam in the next block. If the stewards had showed the late coming fans where the empty seats were there would have been no problem. Instead they let them stand in the aisles then tried to move them later in the game.
Argyle fans are a bit of a mixed bunch. Those in the Britannia before the game mixed with Rovers fans and their was no trouble. After the game I had a good chat with a couple of them who congratulated Darrell for the way he'd coached Rovers to stifle their midfield, then a woman came up and started mouthing off about alleged time wasting on our part!
