Well LP, its not where we are, its how we got here. How much have the BoD squandered (regardless of where the money came from)? Its millions since 2007. The trouble I think for a lot of us is we do not see how, as the executive is currently set up, it will not be the same as long as the same people are involved. Personally the UWE is dead, even if we get the full £30M. The funding was already short of the capital requirement before the BoD took out the £2.5K Wonga loan. Let them seek the appeal, even if the club wins after a lengthy legal battle, we will have racked up a couple of seasons of losses (circa £750K a season) unless we get lucky. My opinion is that the BoD are just trying to get their loans (money that they squandered) back....its not much to do with the development of BRFC anymore, in my opinion. think about the possible future. This I think it's what's worrying a lot of us.

I'm sure it is a watertight appeal. These morons are destroying this club, dc and any player worth anything will be gone by xmas. Unless new owners are found, we'll be dead in two years. The gas heads who support the club who can go to games, but don't go are not without some blame. Let's face it if the Mem had a full house every game, it would go a long way to solving the money issues. (Would also annoy TRASH and the locals). I'll get my coat

If the Mem was bursting at the seams every game we'd be very attractive to investors & investing £30m in building a new stadium would look a good investment.

A season pushing in and around the top 7 would see us getting 8,000 on the regs imo.

However why should any new potential owner reimburse higgs for his failure. Higgs has to be prepared to take a serious haircut on his money, if he did my and many other people's opinion of him would soar.

Forget your life which you may have/not have and support your local mismanaged football club which are an absolute joy to behold. If Bristol Rovers are your total life then fair play but some people do have a `life` and the price of watching non league last season and 4th division this season is an absolute rip off entertainment wise and just another small reason why people pick and choose how to lead their `life`/ spending Saturday afternoons.
I blame the bristolians who support Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and have never watched Rovers or the other lot.

Interesting that even if we were in the top 7 of division 1 our gates would probably be roughly the same as last season. I think we should go to the UWE and give out a few thousand tickets (spread over the season) as well as schools. Even ones out of Bristol. When I was teaching in Central London I brought a "team" down for 3 years running. Kids were great, club was great too. BUT, now an awful lot of us don't have the money as we once did then perhaps we should make it "cheap as chips"

Good advice Henbury but the problem is that the same mistakes are being made over and over again year after year so the past is also the present. Accept what you say the problem is we never learn from our mistakes.... It isn't the fact that "we" never learn from our mistakes, it is the people at the top of Bristol Rovers who don't seem to: a) Accept that they've made mistakes b) Take responsibility c) Learn from their mistakes Instead they: a) Don't recognise they've made mistakes b) Blame someone else c) If they don't accept a & b then c will never apply

If true i would rather BSS stand up and tell.it as it is and maybe the fanbase who 'trust'.as it were might stand up and take notice Playing.along and none of us knowing wont help s**t Of course he could be content.with the s**t that happens

Perhaps he's waiting his time as he'd look an idiot standing up now and then NH wins the Appeal!
I guess all we can do now is await the outcome of the Apeal, or Wonga call in their loan although if they agree to extend it we could well and truly be knackered if we lose the Appeal.

If losing the appeal would cause the club to go into administration, then that's exactly what they are doing People spotted with surveying equipment with Higgs and Ware at The Mem yesterday so somebody looks to be trying to find a plan b. thatll be the upgraded santas grotto,

not sure if this has been mentioned by over on the 82ers forum fhe fairly reliable Kid in a riot poster has suggested rovers have a Plan B and possibly a C as well and that Rovers are never going into admin .... he's been right on a lot of things and its interesting he is suggesting possibly good things rather than doom (ok not goosd as such but not the impending doom we are used to) if i can find the post i will add it on to here later
