Imagine if the investor is a WOMAN! The Queen would be an acceptable investor. But since the passing away of our beloved Margaret Thatcher I can't think of any others that would be acceptable. In capitals or not, I guess in capitals may make them seem more capable to some? How can a lizard invest in a football club?

Imagine if the investor is a WOMAN! Perhaps she is. There's plenty of women who have divorced their rich husbands out there. DUDE not liking women's football does not mean you don't like women period. Well, I don't like women's periods but I felt the American vernacular quite apt. Could be interesting having the manager and staff sacked once a month. Could we stop this now oh white knight of chivalry?

Lots of cynical comments when none of us actually know anything for sure. Why not just relax and see what happens everyone True obviously, but it's always good to speculate when there's nowt going on on the pitch so to speak. Surely this:- i.e. Higgsy's Wonga Loan repayment date has rather a lot to do with selling the club pretty pronto ..... especially if Sainsburys walk away without having to pay us any money - which is highly likely after all.

This story gets leaked now which is then followed by the signing of Chris Lines. Do the board know already some good news?

I have always said that great credit has to go to our much maligned chairman in obtaining planning permission for the UWE. The final at Wembley was probably the clincher in the deal for a takeover. A brand new stadium with a fan base to suit and a large catchment area to tap into. A very interesting few weeks coming up.

I may be putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 39, but I read Higgs's statement saying that there has been no agreement as implying that there is about to be and it's virtually a done deal.

Also a fee was involved in signing Lines so will judge think we are ok for money and is no threat of administration?

Those of us who have that uncanny ability to read between the lines can already hear the $$$$$ hitting the transfer market. Who's first in? Cureton?

Undisclosed fee apparently, to compensate the selling club for the outstanding 12 months on the players contract with them.

With a comment such as that you'd better change your name to 'OptomisticGas'

I'm not yet sure if this is good news, bad news, or no news at all. Apologies if that upsets anyone.

NH said that "no offer had been received"
Now who in their right mind is going to make an offer if they have not seen the up to date books/accounts.
At the moment, this is a non story.

Surely the family club would disappear has soon as the UWE is built anyway? Do you really believe us to still be a family club ? Since NH came in we have been ruled by a paranoid man who disengaged from us and rules as a . He has told us as much by his saying without me there would be no Rovers. GD was much the same only a less brusque nature. We have lost direction years ago and have been ripped apart. The fans are the only constant and that would not change. With the right leadership/funds, we have a great potential but our board have never used any merchandising or shown any nous in dealing with people. We stopped being the family club years ago IMO. We are on the brink of admin yet still many actively choose to still back a man who has been so negligent and bullish that it's beyond any words I have.

Highly unprofessional and likely to put investors off. Yet another huge error of judgment IMO.
