With a budget far greater than normal teams he hasn't had a wonder season. He's drawn and lost too many games and the performances in in the first half of the season were too conservative. But he knows that and has shown real progress each and every month. Of he doesn't sign an extension then another club will benefit from the rovers school of experience and get a well rounded manager.
We should keep building and supporting. And also keep playing Ellis!!

Did I not read that Rovers are the only team from the top 5 football leagues to never have conceded more than twice in a match???

Only Bury (finished in 12th position) and the top 7 teams conceeded fewer goals than Rovers last season. Completely agree, a remarkable achievement but how much of that was also a result of a very defensive approach by the whole team which led to us not creating and not scoring enough goals. As you've rightly commented in another part of the thread we've had too many draws this season (or more wins and a few more losses potentially could have given us more points) but you can equally apply that to last season where we had too many players defending (or less players defending conceding more goals could potentially have created more scoring opportunities with more players attacking and scoring more goals). But wasn't that the same this season until we got lucky with Lines wanting to return to Rovers? Without him wouldn't we still be struggling to grind out 1-0 wins, even at home?

Obviously she hasn't. Otherwise she would not have married a condescending arsehole like yourself. Sorry, whatever your view of an individual there really is no reason I can think of to describe another forum user in that way. He is entitled to his opinion, as you are but without the condescending remarks .....lets not behave like spotty immature school kids in the play ground..... Don't worry the mods are cracking down on personal abuse they'll be along to admonish crazytrain anytime soon, ha, ha,ha sorry got a case of the giggles there

I think that the mods should request a victim impact statement before deciding how long to ban you for.

Thee of limited intelligence, that was a dig at the mods over something that one of them said a few weeks ago. Personally I quite like personal abuse on here. PS: you need to work on your spelling

As for your liking of personal abuse, that's why I found your comment odd. Dish it out and take it I say. Anyway Clarke out!

Was he to blame for our relegation? No Has he had to work under ridiculous pressure? Yes Does he have to work under a difficult BoD? Yes Is he always looking to strengthen in the transfer market and keep players on there toes? Yes Does he play good football with 2 up front and look to win every game? Yes Are his interviews fake media trained s***e? No Is he obsessed with wanting the very best for this football club? Yes He is a top coach on the training ground and well liked by the players? Yes Will he put up with Bulls*** from anyone? No At 37 years of age does he currently & potentially have a long successful future in management? Yes Would i like him to manage us for the next 3 years minimum? Yes He has all the ingredients needed to take this club back to the football league either this season or next season, and keep us there. The question is not whether Higgs will keep him but if Darrell feels wanted enough to stay, and feels appreciated enough to turn down offers that will come in for him in the summer. At last someone on here with some bloody common sense.

We have won more than we have drawn, that's a fact. It sure is, but that doesn't alter the fact that we have drawn far too many games, and lots of them against very poor teams.
and Barnet have lost ten games, most against poor teams. Are they going to sack Allen? Don't think so.

Whether we agree with the highlighted part of Bamber's post (or not) is one thing, but he's certainly right about the contribution being made by the present assistant manager. Well done Marcus Stewart. He wants to manage a club one day, he has said. I think he already is. You really do talk crap. Stewart personally told me earlier this year he hopes to manage a club in a "few years time" he is in charge of first team developments. Not the tactics, or who plays and who doesn't . From the horses mouth

Some of your posts feel like they have come from the Gate ...or some hugely disaffected planet. Let it go Bamber and start enjoying life and Rovers a bit more.

Feelings are running high at the moment, this could be a remarkable few weeks in the history of Bristol Rovers. What I will say though is I do not like editing posts or banning forum members but I will if I have to. Personal abuse of other forum members or the continued use of abusive language is not acceptable, this is a forum that has users of all age's.
