The more I think about it we should probably get shot even if we get back into the FL. DC snatched defeat from the jaws of victory to get us relegated and we should have walked the conference this year and haven't, so yes don't renew his contract at the end of the season come what may, there are rafts of better managers out there. Because every ex league team goes back up via walking the league in their first season here. Get over yourself. What I like about DC is how often he changes the team, and people moan and moan. Come 5PM we have 3 points in the bag and yet again he proves he knows best. Are you and DC related?

Come 5PM we have 3 points in the bag and yet again he proves he knows best. Super, spot on, only the facts (15 draws against 5th tier rubbish) get in the way of a superb assessment.

Don't forget we top the table for least goals conceded & most clean sheets in the league, plus we've lost the least amount of games aswell, what a s**te season we've had going into our last 2 games 1 point behind the leaders.

I Wonder if these anti DC posters are not backing him because he puts Nick Higgs in a good light ?

Higgs refused to back Clarke in the summer, all he would say was that he had a contract and was our manager. One of the other directors was going to take responsibility for first team affairs so that Higgs could concentrate on UWE. So, is Clarke the manager that Higgs wanted?

I cant believe this is a genuine thread, 2 games of the season to go 1 point off top of the league.
Why would anyone want to get rid of DC, done a great job this season.
Though i highly doubt DC reads this forum, if he did, i imagine he would be thinking what he has to do to get supporters on his side.

This club has had managerial chaos for the best part of a decade. It would be crazy to sack a manager who finished 2nd in the league. Good luck to new guy in that situation because he will have shortest leash of any manager we've ever had. Clarke has done a decent enough job, I am not convinced there is anyone out there who would be guaranteed to do a better one so why take an unnecessary risk? Also, we're going to go up so this is all irrelevant.

A few questions:
1. Have results on the pitch made him deserve the sack? No. Folk can demand promotion all they like but no-one has bounced straight back in 25 years.
2. Does sacking managers all the time help? If you need an answer to this question you've not been following Rovers' fortunes in the last 15 years.
3. Do you trust the board to hire an external replacement? No.
The squad is behind him, the fans are behind him. If we don't go up now it may be catastrophic but who is going to step in and take us closer with an even smaller budget next term?
As for relegation being his fault, I despair.
